/Album Design

Album cover and identity for Rock Band NAMO for its fifth album called

The concept of the album was based around the idea of dream, monster and kid. The band members made this album for their newly born family member. Therefore, being different from the rock style, the visual effects were designed in a fairytale illustration style.

In the lyric book section I drew two illustrations.

With the songs on this album the band members wanted to express the concept that "people gradually lose themselves under the pressure of life and become beasts without hope, yet the arrival of a new baby saves the beasts and starts a new life".

/Packaging Design

Tang's cake is a company that makes traditional Chinese pastries and they feature pastries made in the Tang Dynasty style.

With the upgrading of the brand, Tang's cake has positioned their products as elaborate pastries that can be given as a gift. Therefore there is a need to upgrade the packaging for individual products and gift boxes.

Nougat is a traditional Chinese pastry with looks similar to cows. When creating the packaging design, I chose the image of a cow from Tang Dynasty and developed the design based on it.

Two dim sum gift boxes were created for the traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. I was responsible for the structural design of two of the packages. As the moon will be full during the Mid-Autumn Festival,a pull-out structure was used in the design of the structure to mimic the process of the moon changing.

In this gift box, with the the box being pulled out, the moon on the surface of the gift box will gradually become fuller.

A traditional event in the Mid-Autumn Festival is the leathersilhouette show (shadow play). In this gift box, we have made a shadow of the emperor and consort of the Tang Dynasty and the gift box becomes a theatre stage. The box can be stood up to be performed by using both characters.

DECOTYPE /Type Design

/Type Design

In Shanghai, you can see many unique and charming buildings. They have simple, fluent, elegant lines and a sense of magnificence. These are ART DECO style buildings in Shanghai. These buildings are influenced by the western ART DECO style. They became part of Shanghai's historical memory, and I was fascinated by the style. So I decided to design a Typeface to show the imagination of Shanghai Art Deco Style.

/Conceptual working office

In Asia, overworking is not a rare phenomenon in every industry, especially in some creative industries. “996” (9am-9pm, 6 days/week) and “007”(0am-0pm, 7 days/week) have also been used to describe overwork.

Many people think that the more hours they work, the better they will do, Time spent at work can be used to judge whether an employee is good or not. But do you really have to work like a machine?

Overworking/ Inefficient working

Model making

Why do we judge employees by the number of hours they work? Why can't we arrange our work time properly and then go home and enjoy life?

New Kind of Office

A new kind of office is created to free people from overwork. The principle of this office is simple: when you start working, the office starts to rotate itself. Depending on the type of work and different personal circumstances, the working hours are different and therefore the speed of rotation is also different. After rotating 360 degrees, your chair will force you out of the office and you will not be able to return to the office on that day.

/Graphic Design, Editorial Design

I worked as a graphic design intern in Shanghai Bund Art Museum for about one year.

During the internship, I cooperated with the designer to complete the design related to the exhibition.

These include: invitation design, educational lecture posters, postcards, exhibition brochures, tickets, and banners of various sizes.

/Invitation design

The most interesting part of the museum is the design that is not limited by materials, and the idea that creativity is the first. For example, in the design of invitation letter, we tried to use the content matching the exhibition concept as the invitation letter itself. In Tobias Rehberger: If You Don't use your eyes to See, You will use them to Cry, we use dessert as an invitation.
