ANSWERS TO READING EXERCISES. PAGE 56 Exercise 1.- Look at the title of the reading text. Then answer questions 1-4. 1- Do clever students have to cheat? No, they don't, but according to the text, some people think that they have to cheat in order to get good grades (marks) and get into a good university. 2- Some adults cheat in life. According to the text, "adults don't always set a good example." For instance, football players often cheat, trying to deceive the referee. 3- There are different ways of cheating in exams. According to the text, new technologies provide several sources for essays, tests, and students can share answers via text messages or even photos. 4- The most important factor is to convince students that cheating does not pay off. In addition, cheats could be suspended or expelled. Exercise 3.- Read the text again. Write true or false for sentences 1-6. Correct the false sentences. 1- Most students in the USA think that cheating is a problem. FALSE Most people think that cheating is OK now, because it is common. (paragraph 1) 2- Clever kids don't have to cheat because they get good marks. FALSE. Now cheats are clever kids who need higher grades (...) to get good grades some people think they have to cheat.
