Year in a Review MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT 2012 has been a truly inspiring and challenging year for JA-YE Alumni Europe. The accomplishments of 2011 set the bar high and generated energy and motivation for achieving even higher. On both European and national level the alumni network saw growth. Alongside welcoming new members and expanding its reach JA-YE Alumni Europe introduced new projects and invested in the sustainability of the organisation. Looking back at 2012 we should point out: Organising National Coordinators Meeting (NCM) in Brno, Czech Republic which covered the high standards and expectations of the growing European network while keeping high level of productivity. During the meeting the first Organisational Rules and Procedures of JA-YE Alumni Europe were voted on and accepted. The Annual Leadership Conference held in Porto, Portugal proved the constant desire of improvement and welcomed the highest number of participants from the biggest number of countries. In August the newly elected board formed the very first team gathering 8 different nationalities. While making sure all current activities are running smoothly the European board is also exploring new spheres for growth and ways for improving internal communication and building brand awareness. 2012 was also marked by the launch of the biggest initiative taken by far – The Changing Lives campaign. Under the slogan “JA-YE changed my life and this year we will change yours” more than 100 alumni were sharing the experience they gained from the JA-YE programes and further alumni involvement. Looking back at 2012 I would like to express our sincere gratitude to JA-YE Europe for their constant support and true belief in the potential of the European Alumni network. Owing to this productive collaboration big part of our plans and dreams turned into reality and our efforts reached the ambitious targets we have set. I want to also send a special Thank you note to all dedicated members of the European board who tirelessly work for building the strong international organisation we all want to be part of. And of course – to all active members across Europe who sustain the passion of JA-YE through the years and provide motivation and inspiration to the generations to come.
Elena Tosheva President JA-YE Alumni Europe “ The European Alumni network of JA-YE is this amazing international community which gathers people with various backgrounds who share their passion for entrepreneurship and bold vision for the future. This lively and creative setting has given the start to new business ventures and true friendships which are changing our lives.”
