Smart Seal’s patent-pending, heat and pressure process, creates a seamless, tamper-resistant barrier around the gift card package. The only way to remove the card is to tear up or cut the package.

LEVERAGING THIRD PARTY IMS SERVICES

Most mobile operators are evolving to LTE – whether they are coming from CDMA, GSM or even WiMAX – to deliver capacity, data throughput enhancements and low latency, thereby allowing support for new services and features. Each operator has its own technological legacy as it moves to this global phenomenon.

IMS infrastructure will be deployed in LTE networks to handle Voice Over LTE as recommended by the One Voice Initiative. Once this IMS infrastructure is in place then other IMS services such as Rich Voice services or TV services can be deployed. Operators can then allow third party application authentication as a result of GBA (Generic Bootstrapping Architecture) to be able to derive security keys to pass to the third party.

ACCESSING MULTIPLE NETWORK LAYERS SEAMLESSLY

LTE is an all-IP network. Reaching the Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC) with a server through the HTTPs protocol (GP Amendment B standard) is the most efficient network solution. It optimises large file downloads and ensures an efficient remote management of UICCs and associated services.

Most operators will not deploy LTE in a greenfield scenario: legacy 2G and 3G technologies are already in place and Wi-Fi hot-spots are on air. The UICC is evolving to make use of the most effective network with a ubiquitous end-user’s experience, including access to the Femto cell layer.

THE RIGHT TOOL TO EVOLVE TO LTE LTE DISCOVERY OVERVIEW Oberthur Technologies’ LTE Discovery product includes applications to connect smoothly to the different mobile networks including GSM, UMTS, CDMA, Wi-Fi™ and LTE. This product not only includes the ISIM application to register to the IMS layer (mandatory for Voice over LTE), but also has GBA capability for the operator to be the authenticating entity for third party applications. This UICC also integrates HTTPs functionality (GP Amendment B) to be able to reach UICC files and applications through the HTTPs protocol. It also includes other functionalities such as capability to host a QoS monitoring applet to monitor enduser‘s experience while using an LTE network and the capability to host an applet that launches and configures applications into the mobile phone with the UICC server mode capability. Another new feature of this UICC is the possibility of encrypted remote management with the AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) algorithm for authentication and encryption.
