Your Hoosier experience begins with New Student Orientation— and we can’t wait to meet you! NSO Preparation Log in to FY(Me) at fye.indiana.edu to read through your full confirmation. Pay close attention to: • Required online placement exams. If you have not yet completed these, be sure to do so before you arrive. Your confirmation provides information and access to these exams, or go to fye.indiana.edu/orientation/new-student/testing.cfm. • Optional exams. If you choose to take one or both of these exams, plan your arrival to NSO accordingly—they are offered prior to the start of your program. • Required academic tasks. You received an email about this online course; your confirmation and To-Do list have also been updated to give you access. Complete this course before NSO. • Updated fee details. Your NSO program is included in the required “NSO and First Year” fee of $210. You may bring up to two guests at no additional charge. The fee for subsequent guests is $10 each.

Orientation Housing Students are encouraged to stay on campus with other new students and our staff during NSO. NSO student housing is in Union Street Center; the housing fee of $42.50 per night (tax included) will be charged to your IU billing account after NSO by Residential Programs and Services. We encourage you to make a reservation through the link provided on your FY(Me) confirmation page. Pillow, towel, and bed linens will be provided. Guests have options both on and off campus, including at several partner hotels offering special NSO packages just for them. All partner hotels include a discounted rate, welcome packet, breakfast, and other amenities. View all student and guest lodging options at go.iu.edu/nso-hotels.

NSO Schedule You’ll check in at Union Street Center, Cedar Hall (see below for times). For much of your day you will be with other students in sessions and workshops while your parents or guests will be in sessions designed just for them.
