ABOUT US NAVIGATOR Informatika PLC. is one of the most significant participants of the domestic IT industry. It is a fully Hungarian owned, independent IT company. During its recent activity Navigator has been providing IT solutions of the most significant hardware- and software manufacturers that meet the IT demands of our clients the most. Due to the rapid growth of the IT sector and the changes of the market’s demands the profile of NAVIGATOR had been partially modified in the last few years. The Company has expanded its activity towards wider territories with a different type of perspective while maintaining its traditional IT outsource and system integrator roles. Navigator Informatika Plc. offers its service solution packages upon ITIL based procedures, meanwhile it pays attention to the flexible variability of the organization and the operation in the established modell. The flexible operational organization makes it possible to support the client side changes with an appropriate response time (eg. strategic and business modell changes). Our Company has become one of the most important IT-outsourcing participants of the Hungarian IT market by the merge of three companies of the Wallis Group (NAVIGATOR Informatika Kft., AM-IT Rt., Wallitrade Kft.) more than ten years ago. Upon request we provide an opportunity to outsource certain parts of the IT systems, but our customers may choose our full IT outsourcing services resulting the largest cost savings and efficiency gains. SERVER OPERATION NAVIGATOR Informatika PLC. looks back on many years of experience in the field of operating servers. The majority of the servers we operate are placed in our specially formed server rooms, but a significant number can be found at our clients’ sites. In our activity, we consider it important that the orientation be at all times favourable for the data and operational safety of the servers; with this in mind, we actively assist our clients in building their server rooms as well.

OUR TEAM OF SYSTEM ENGINEERS ALLOWS US TO OPERATE THE SYSTEMS KNOWN AND BROADLY USED ON THE MARKET WITH THE REQUIRED EXPERTISE AND HIGH AVAILABILITY. In case of the servers we operate, we consider it of paramount importance to receive information continuously of the status of each server. Therefore, as a first step, the server and the running applications are connected in each case to a monitoring system that informs our specialists of any error or change who are then able to start the troubleshooting process without further delay. The most cases, we are informed of the errors before the users and we are able to repair them, thanks to our proactive error monitoring.


SERVER HOSTING In our server rooms developed by us, at a 99.99% availability, it is possible to use our server hosting services. Besides our own servers, many clients have placed their servers for hosting in our server rooms based on a corresponding hosting contract. The level of availability undertaken naturally includes internet connection with appropriate redundancy, power supply and cooling as well as fire and property protection. The physical accessibility of the hosted servers is subject to a number of individual rules. The key aspect of the establishment of operational environment was achieving a high level availability. Every critical system – such as air conditioning equipment, uninterrupted power supply units – have an n+1 redundancy. NAVIGATOR has contracted professional partners for the maintenance and troubleshooting of the systems, guaranteeing the highest possible availability. APPLICATION MANAGEMENT The use of certain applications today requires complex and integrated IT environments that can only be operated responsibly with the help of highly qualified professionals. NAVIGATOR Informatika PLC. offers a wide range of solutions to the problems that may emerge. SYSTEM MONITORING SERVICES THE OBJECTIVE OF SYSTEM MONITORING IS Automatic monitoring of the servers and networks, providing continuous information on the status of the monitored tools, the state of their parameters and their operability. The incoming data are processed by the monitoring server based on the preset configuration and if necessary, the personnel operating the system in question is notified who can begin the required preventive activities or troubleshooting with the shortest possible delay.

ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS The access control systems are effective tools for companies and institutions in controlling and limiting access to restricted areas and its registration and to record where and when the persons holding various authorisations entered and when they arrived to their workplaces and when they left. The access control systems consist of two main parts; active elements that serve physical identification and access (gates, cards, etc.) and the software ensuring the control of the active tools.


NAVIGATOR Informatika PLC. provides a wide range of active elements and software tools found in the market. We supply card and card reader types from leading manufacturers from ordinary barcode cards through high security proximity detection (RFID, Radio Frequency IDentification) card to biometric identification. Reader devices – in accordance with the needs of our customers – may be visible or concealed; the card may contain the photograph of the user and personal data may also be printed on them. The system may be combined with taking time stamped photographs or making electronic video recording using cameras at the identification points.

VIRTUALISATION NAVIGATOR Informatika PLC. gained significant experience over the recent years through the implementation of several server, application and desktop virtualisation projects in the field of virtualisation and constructing cloud based services.

THE OBJECTIVE OF VIRTUALISATION IS TO CONSOLIDATE THE IT RESOURCES – SERVERS, WORK STATIONS AND APPLICATIONS – SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASING THEIR UTILISATION, THE EFFICIENCY OF THEIR OPERATION AND THEIR OPERATIONAL SAFETY AND REDUCING THEIR OPERATIONAL COSTS.


Virtualisation technologies may provide a solution to many problems, e.g. the optimal distribution of server side resources and the deterioration of work stations. Virtualisation can firstly save hardware resources and energy and secondly operational and future investment costs. Servers, work stations and applications may all be virtualised, thereby systems more cost effective, safer, more flexible to dimension and develop that conventional ones may be configured. NAVIGATOR Informatika PLC. undertakes the planning and implementation of virtual environments, the rationalisation of existing server stocks and their transformation into virtual environments including data migration, even by transforming the existing server stock (if this is possible to implement) or by delivering an entirely new system.


CLOUD COMPUTING The application of computing clouds is another step towards service based IT.

Some of our web based solutions provide simple, more or less web based interfaces to perform specific tasks.
