Updating your Social Channel Strategy How to post on your Own Channel and grow your Brand Organically.

It’s easy to be overwhelmed with the amount of Social Channels, but it’s important to remember that not every social channel is for everyone. Each one is going to have different content for different demographics, it’s about finding the right one for you.

Common Primary Social Channels

Primary Vs Secondary Channels Where are you putting most of your focus and where are you making room for experimentation?

Twitter: Short, sweet, and to the point, creating content for twitter can be compared to crafting headlines for a blog. Trending hashtags/topics are great to start a conversation. Facebook: A space for friends to connect and share content online, Facebook is great to share opinions and grow brand affinity. Consumer-facing, B2C Instagram: More than just a photo-sharing app, Instagram is a strong visual channel to share polished, shorter content. Instagram for Business lets open shops, share videos, and post Stories LinkedIn: Business-Oriented social networking service, LinkedIn caters to professionals, B2B. YouTube: A video-sharing website, YouTube is a great repository for video content of varying lengths and intent

5 Questions to Ask Yourself for Choosing your Primary Social Channel

1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

Where is your target buyer? Where is your competition? Is there an untapped opportunity? How many channels can you do well, consistently? Are there geographic differences to take into consideration? Channels, Competitors, ETC.?

Secondary Channels and How to integrate them into your Strategy

The best practice for experimentation is the 80/20 strategy. ● ●

80% of your focus and budget on maintaining and growing your primary channels 20% going to secondary channels in search of possible opportunities for growth.

Remember as well that if a channel doesn’t end up working out for you, that’s not a failure, it was a test and you found the results.

Secondary Channels and How to integrate them into your Strategy

TikTok: More than 40% of TikTok’s 800 million users are age 16–24. Try and research accounts from brands that are similar to yours to see how they approached it. Authenticity and Gen-Z Culture are key to TikTok for growing brand affinity. Clubhouse: Clubhouse is a live streaming, audio only platform. The audience can interact and ask questions, creating more of a conversation. Clubhouse is a great way to highlight thought-leadership and generate a close relationship with your audience. Twitch: Twitch is a video livestreaming service typically associated with videogame streams. Brands sometimes build a Twitch audience to add relatiblity and personality to their content.
