Welcome to the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational. Each year, this collegiate golf tournament brings together the finest teams in the nation for three days of competitive golf on one of Tavistock Group’s finest golf courses. The Tavistock Collegiate Invitational will rotate between Isleworth Golf & Country Club and Lake Nona Golf & Country Club each year; both are ranked in the top 100 golf courses in the country and are home to many of today’s top touring professionals. Texas Tech University and the University of Central Florida return to host the 2015 Tavistock Collegiate Invitational featuring nine of the top 30 teams in the country. Division I powerhouses include Illinois, Ohio State, Vanderbilt, Arizona State and Cal as well as hometown favorites Florida and North Florida. Augusta University, South Carolina, UNC, UNLV and New Mexico round out the best tournament field in college golf, including Washington State who will be making their debut this year. Tavistock Group, along with Texas Tech and UCF, are committed to making this event an experience rivaling that of a PGA TOUR event by providing a challenging field and a top-conditioned course, combined with exceptional player hospitality and welcome gifts. Tavistock Field Strong As Usual By Jim Nugent
The highly ranked University of Illinois hopes to post its first Tavistock Collegiate Invitational title at Isleworth Golf & Country Club this week, but it will have to contend with a deep field in the 12th playing of this premiere college golf tournament. Illinois opened the season with a 27-shot win at the Northern Intercollegiate in September. The deep and talented Illini placed all five players in the top 15 on the way to an impressive start to the season. Vanderbilt University hopes to improve on its runner-up finish last year recorded at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club. Senior Carson Jacobs, who finished second to teammate Hunter Stewart in 2014, will lead the Commodores. A local team to keep an eye on is the University of Florida. Coach JC Deacon enters his second year at the helm of the storied Gator program, and he brings with him two very talented freshmen who grew up in Florida. Englishman Sam Horsfield has consistently been ranked inside the top 25 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings for the last two years, while teammate Jorge Garcia, from Venezuela, has been steadily advancing inside the top 100 in those rankings. Horsfield finished tied for fourth in his first college tournament in September. Since it’s inception in 2004, the tournament has evolved into one of the finest of its kind during the entire collegiate calendar. Some of the premiere schools in the country have won the tournament, including the University of Georgia, which won four of the first five contests. Other winners include Oklahoma State (2009), the University of Alabama (2010, 2013), and the University of Texas (2006, 2011). A worthy champion will emerge from the 2015 tournament and become an early contender for the national championship next spring.

The history of Isleworth’s golf course is as storied as its original designer. When golf legend Arnold Palmer first saw Isleworth, he realized it was the ideal setting to build a legendary golf course. Weaving through rolling hills, around pristine lakes and amid grand oak and cypress trees, Isleworth’s picture-perfect course layout was possible because Palmer carved it into 600 undeveloped acres of citrus groves before plotting a single home site. Palmer’s genius vision, combined with golf architect Steve Smyers’ redesign of the course almost 20 years later, have made Isleworth one of the world’s truly great courses. RAWLS GOLF COURSE, LUBBOCK, TX

Two of the nation’s best collegiate golf programs return as co-hosts for the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational in 2015. The University of Central Florida and Texas Tech University both have longstanding relationships with Tavistock Group, Isleworth Golf & Country Club and Lake Nona Golf & Country Club. In 2004, UCF teamed with Tavistock Group to create the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational, a tournament designed to give college golfers and coaches the feel of a major championship. For the next four years, UCF served as host of the tournament that offers college golf ’s best the chance to play on one of the toughest courses in the nation against the 15 finest collegiate golf programs. When Texas Tech assumed hosting duties in 2008, the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational was already recognized as one of the leading college golf competitions in the country. In 2014 after 10 years of hosting the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational, Tavistock Group opted to expand and rename the event and thus, the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational was born. The Tavistock Collegiate Invitational will continue to rotate between Isleworth Golf & Country Club and Tavistock Group’s sister property, Lake Nona Golf & Country Club. Over the past five years, both UCF and Texas Tech have proudly co-hosted this event, where amateurs play like pros and often become them.

RED RAIDER GOLF PROGRAM • Developed by golf course architect Tom Doak and named after Texas Tech alum Jerry S. Rawls, Texas Tech’s 18-hole championship golf course is recognized as one of the top five college courses featuring 7,100 yards of undulating fairways, beautiful bent grass greens and many deep bunkers. • The Rawls Course has been named the third best collegiate on-campus golf course in the nation by Golfweek Magazine. • Texas Tech enjoys dedicated facilities for its men’s and women’s golf teams, including pitching and chipping areas and an indoor facility with three hitting bays equipped with swing analysis technology. • Texas Tech also takes advantage of their Cash Foundation Clubhouse that provides a full-service pro shop and locker room facilities, as well as Jerry’s Grill. The team facility is equipped with locker rooms for the men’s and women’s teams, along with offices for the coaching staff.

KNIGHT GOLF PROGRAM • The UCF Knights enjoy one of the top training venues in the nation at the UCF Golf Practice Facility, a 2,880-squarefoot golf teaching building located at Twin Rivers Golf Club in Oviedo. The practice facility features hitting bays, a state-of-the-art video system to analyze player swings, a player’s lounge, offices for UCF coaching staff, a six-acre short-game area and driving range. • The Knights are honored to have golfing access to two of the premier country clubs in the nation in Isleworth Golf & Country Club and Lake Nona Golf & Country Club. Each club offers 18 holes of championship-level golf and immaculate playing conditions that test collegiate golf’s best players each year during the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational. • In addition to these opportunities, UCF enjoys playing memberships at two other Orlando-area golf clubs. Rio Pinar Country Club was first designed in 1957 by Mark Mahanna and features a competitive tree-lined course providing 6,978 yards of challenging championship golf. North Shore Golf Club is a 6,900-yard layout designed by Mike Dasher that has two distinct nines to test championship-caliber players. “The Tavistock Collegiate Invitational at Isleworth Golf & Country Club combines amazing hospitality and a demanding golf course to create a major championship feel. The experience gives collegiate golfers a glimpse of what life can be like if they reach the pinnacle of their chosen profession.”
