PIRATES OF

HILTON HEAD Board the Black Dagger and set sail on a pirate adventure!

Some words you may want to brush up on in advance of your pirate cruise:

From beginning to end, the action is non-stop as the kids are transformed into a Pirate Crew. The adventure starts in Harbour Town, where each little mate gets to put on some pirate gear and learns to talk like a pirate. Once they’ve sworn their allegiance to the boat, they are officially part of the Crew and get to join in the hunt for loot.

AHOY – Pirate for “hello” or “I see something.” AYE, AYE – Pirate for “Yes, Sir.” ARRGHH! - Always said with extreme emphasis, this is the one word a pirate simply can’t do without.

We’ve got a map that leads to a sunken treasure chest, but Stinky Pete knows about it too and he stole the key. The race is on to find Stinky Pete and get the key back before he can steal the treasure for himself. Once we find him, our new Crew is going to have to man the water cannons and blast the stink right off of Pete until he gives us the key! Fortunately, at Pirates of Hilton Head, we always beat Stinky Pete and every little pirate always gets a handful of the loot. We celebrate the victory with some music and dancing before heading back to port. PIRATE LINGO Every little pirate needs to know how to speak like a real buccaneer. The most important thing for any aspiring pirate to know is that we shout pretty much everything! Those who can’t turn up the volume will be insulted with the lowest, most terrible of pirate nicknames, such as Mermaid or Guppy! 6

The Official Guide May-August 2014

The entire experience with the crew of the Black Dagger lasts about an hour and a half. The first fifteen minutes are spent on the dock getting the little pirates ready and then we board the ship and head out on the Calibogue Sound. Trips leave daily, reservations for all passengers are required. Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to get your pirate name and a tattoo.

Plus, L INK S magaz ine ranked Hilton Head National in the “ Top 10 Courses of the L ow Country” which included private courses. Hilton Head National is indeed unusual in that two of the game’s most heralded architects have collaborated to create this uniq ue golf experience. Hall of F amer, G ary Player with over 200 golf designs in his international portfolio and Award Winning Bobby Weed, former PG A Tour design consultant, have routed 18 holes through some of ” the most beautiful 300 acres of tree rich Carolina bottom land“ that they both have ever encountered. With a combination of rolling greens, a variety of bunker complexes and generous fairways, Hilton Head National is a player friendly course but can also test the best players from the Black tees. If you are a lover of the game of golf, you would remiss if you don’t list Hilton Head National on your golf itinerary.
