ORDERING INFORMATION HOW YARDAGE IS CALCULATED
ORDERING PATTERNS AND TRUNK SHOWS
Designer projects are shown with yardage charts and QR codes. “Order All Fabrics” QR code will order all of the fabrics in the chart to meet the yardage requirements for the number of kits the shop would like; the shop will be given the option to include or exclude Backing and Binding fabrics. If a Backing or Binding fabric is a SKU that has been repeated elsewhere in the chart, a second bolt will be placed on order. Yardages will not be added together. Chart calculations are made with 11 yard and 14 yard bolts to account for varying bolt sizes. Large contiguous cuts may require additional bolts.
All patterns and trunk shows will be ordered from and fulfilled by the Designer. The Designer will receive a copy of your Island Batik order confirmation. Please, contact the Designer to complete your pattern purchase or trunk show request.
DESIGNER PROJECT DISCLAIMER Not all yardage requirements are exact; ALWAYS check the pattern jacket before cutting kits. Island Batik cannot accept responsibility for yardage requirements that have been revised after the catalog has been printed. All SKUs listed multiple times are calculated multiple times when figuring bolts per 12 kits.

Carolina discovered the quilting world in 2010 in Switzerland. She teaches quilting classes and workshops to domestic machine quilters. She designed her own method to teach free motion quilting based on her artistic background. Her goal with students is to make them able to recognize the strong elements of their own quilts and use free motion quilting designs to create unique work.

Scott has been actively quilting since 2001. In 2011, he started 4th & Main Designs and became a regular contributor to Quiltmaker, McCall’s Quilting, and Fons & Porter magazines. Known throughout the Nebraska/Iowa/Colorado region for his Quilting Lectures and classes, Scott works to make his patterns easy to follow no matter how difficult they may look by giving every square up point and every pressing direction needed to make assembly a breeze.
Quilting became Sindy’s primary hobby in 1995. She joined an online block swap group called Mary’s Hen House and soon learned they did mostly appliqué, something she had never tried before. It was exactly what her creative side had been missing! The women in the group were extremely supportive and encouraging. Sindy soon began sharing her “doodles”, which slowly transformed into block patterns. As they say, the rest is history!

Designer Spotlight
Carl and Linda Sullivan, Colourwerx It’s no surprise that Linda and Carl love color and creating colorful contemporary fabric designs and patterns! With over 20 years experience as professional designers and quiltmakers, Linda and Carl are intensely passionate about pure color, mid-century modern style and contemporary pattern design. Always searching for a twist on the traditional, their designs and quilt patterns are well known for their modern look, spontaneous movement and fearless use of color. Starting on just a whim in 2000 with their first pattern company, Linderella’s Quilt Works, they have designed hundreds of patterns, fabric lines, been featured in numerous publications and authored two books. They also owned and operated their own full service quilt shop under the same name. In 2016, longing to return to their first passion for colorful pattern and fabric design, they decided to close their shop and form their newest adventure, Colourwerx. Today, they reside in Palm Desert, California and enjoy collaborating together creating modern fabric designs, quilt patterns, traveling across the country teaching the art of quiltmaking and sharing their love of color, quilting and contemporary design.
