Management A. Hassan Mohaideen - President and CEO

Dr. Mohaideen formed Health Plan Systems (under the name Palm Lake Enterprises, Inc.) in 1988 and the first version of medical management software was released in 1990.

l

Dr. Mohaideen has always been at the cutting-edge of managed health care and the evolving use of technology in health insurance.

l

He formed one of the first Independent Practice Associations (IPAs) in the New York Metropolitan area and served as a member of the Board of Directors of Aetna Health Plans of New York for 11 years.

l

Dr. Mohaideen currently serves as a consultant to several physician groups that contract with insurance companies.

l

He previously served as a Senior Vice-President for Managed Care, of Brooklyn Hospital Center. He has held the position of Medical Director at several self-insured funds.

l

Dr. Mohaideen practiced Vascular Surgery for 28 years in Brooklyn, New York and is a member of the faculty of the State University of New York – Downstate Medical Center.

l

He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Mohaideen holds an MD degree from Stanley Medical College, India and an MBA from Wagner College, New York, and is a Certified Physician Executive (CPE).

Management Athiff Kabir - Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Mr. Kabir has managed software development for the past 20 years with strong background managing all areas of software development lifecycle. He is a certified Project Management Professional, and has got his MS in Engineering.

Prior to joining HPS, Mr. Kabir worked for over a decade with EDS. He has provided strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of several information and technology systems for customers in both government and private sectors.

l

He has managed programs dealing with several projects involving multiple organizations spread across the country.

Management Mariam F. Mohaideen - Vice President l

Ms. Mohaideen has worked in healthcare technology for the past 15 years. Her experience includes working for a hospital systems vendor and a management consulting firm.

l

In her previous position she reported to the CIO and CMIO of the largest municipal healthcare system in the country (NY City Health and Hospitals Corporation), coordinating large scale clinical information systems projects.

l

She is proficient in HIPAA (both on the transaction and privacy side), and evaluating healthcare process flow in administrative, financial, and clinical areas with respect to the implementation of technology.

l

She is an adjunct lecturer in clinical informatics at the New York University College of Nursing. She holds a B.A. from Cornell University, and a Masters in Science in Health Policy & Management from the Harvard School of Public Health.

Satish Kurian - Vice President, Sales and Network Services

Mr. Kurian has extensive experience in privacy and security and has successfully led organizations through CISP security certification for compliance with the stringent credit card processing requirements.

Mr. Kurian is knowledgeable in all facets of HIPAA privacy compliance and has background in all manner of security issues. He has been instrumental in planning, building and managing infrastructure.
