NEWS This year we are presenting a timeless downlight, the restyling of one of our most symbolic products, the BCN family, which incorporates new features and more members such as the BCN 30 or the MOON spotlight, which will leave no one indifferent. In addition, the INFINITY incorporates a new design with specials reflectors in order to promote the high visual comfort. In terms of high technology, we lauch novelties such as: LED lighting with the use of bluetooth, led for horticulture, VLC technology, new dimming dim-to-warm, tunable white and new accessories. Este año presentamos un downlight trimless, el restyling de uno de nuestros productos más emblemáticos, la familia BCN, que incorpora nuevas funcionalidades y más novedades como el BCN 30 o el proyector MOON, que no dejará indiferente a nadie.

Además, la familia INFINITY incorpora un nuevo diseño con reflectores especiales para promover el alto confort visual. En cuanto a tecnología, presentamos novedades como la iluminación LED que incluye el uso de Bluetooth, LED para horticultura, tecnología VLC, el nuevo regulador dim to warm o tuneable white y nuevos accesorios.

COLOUR TEMPERATURE

The lumen (lm) is the unit that measures the luminous flux, a measurement of the luminous output emitted by the source. The luminous flux is the measurement of total luminous output emitted by a lamp and that is perceived by the human eye. The luminous intensity measure how much brightness the beam has in a specific direction.

The colour temperature from a light Source is measured in degrees Kelvin (K) Colour temperatures over 5000 K are known as cold colours (blue-white) while temperatures between 2700 and 3000 K are considered as warm colours.

LUX The Lux (lx) is the unit that measures the degree of illumination taking a specific point as the reference. The Lux can also be defined as no of lumens/m2. The difference between the lux and the lumen lies in that fact that the lux takes into account the surface over which the luminous flux is distributed. 1000 lumens concentrated over a square meter illuminate this surface with 1000 lux. The same one thousand lumens distributed over 10 square meters, only produce illuminance of 100 lux. In other words, illuminating a bigger area with the same degree of lux requires a greater number of lumens.

CANDELA The candela (cd) measures the intensity or concentration of light in a specific direction, radiated per second. The luminous intensity can be defined as: The luminous flux in a given direction, radiated per unit of solid angle. 1 candela = 1 lumen/steradian

CRI Colour rendering index (CRI) is a quantitative measure of the ability of a light source to reveal the colours of various objects faithfully in comparison with an ideal or natural light source which represents the ideal of fidelity at a 100 %.

PHASE CUT Phase control (PFC), also called phase cutting, is a method of pulse-width modulation for power limiting, applied to AC voltages. It works by modulating a thyristor, silicon-controlled rectifier, triode for alternating current, thyratron, or other such gated diodelike devices into and out of conduction at a predetermined phase of the applied waveform.

PUSH DIM So called as the only control required is a push-to-make switch, is also known as Touch Dimming. No ‘standard’ exists, so various wiring methods exists depending on the driver/ballast manufacturer. Needs standard mains wiring plus either one or two extra wires (depending upon driver/ballast variant).

DALI DALI enables equipment from different manufacturers to be connected together. DALI network consists of a controller and one or more lighting devices that have DALI interfaces. The controller can monitor and control each light’s intensity providing up to 256 levels of brightness between 0-100 %. Wireless extension is available for DALI network.

UGR UGR is a scale that unifies different glare evaluation methods. The UGR describes subjective perception in measurable terms considering the potential glare of all the luminaries located within the observer’s field of vision. The ratings oscillate between 10 and 30, where 10 means “no glare” and 30 means “discomfort glare”. The UGR value is not a characteristic of the luminaire itself, but of the complete installation, for what we calculated the UGR values stated in oucatalogue based on a common standard installation. We recommend the calculation of the UGR in your installation in practice to assure the desired UGR value.

IP In accordance with standar EN 60598-1, luminaries are classified on the basis of the protection derived from theirelements of construction. the degree of protectection is indicated by the letters IP followed by a 2 figure number, though only the first two numbers are shown. 1st figure: Indicates the protection of the material against the entry of foreing bodies and dust, as well of people coming into contact with live parts in the device. 0. Not protected. 1. Protected against foreign objets > 50 mm. 2. Protected against foreign objets > 12 mm. 3. Protected against foreign objets > 2,50 mm. 4. Protected against foreign objets > a 1 mm. 5. Dust Protected. 6. Completely dust-tight.

PHASE CUT El control de fase (PFC), también llamado corte de fase, es un método de modulación de ancho de pulso para limitar la potencia, aplicado a voltajes de CA. Funciona mediante la modulación de un tiristor, rectificador controlado por silicio, triodo para corriente alterna, tiratrón u otros dispositivos similares a diodos cerrados dentro y fuera de la conducción en una fase predeterminada de la forma de onda aplicada.

TEMPERATURA DEL COLOR La temperatura de color de una fuente de luz se mide en grados Kelvin (K) Las temperaturas de color superiores a 5000 K se conocen como colores fríos (azul-blanco), mientras que las temperaturas entre 2700 y 3000 K se consideran colores cálidos. UGR UGR es una báscula que unifica diferentes métodos de evaluación del deslumbramiento. La UGR describe la percepción subjetiva en términos mensurables considerando el resplandor potencial de todas las luminarias ubicadas dentro del campo de visión del observador. Los valores oscilan entre 10 y 30, donde 10 significa “sin deslumbramiento” y 30 significa “deslumbramiento molesto”. El valor UGR no es una característica de la luminaria en sí, sino de la instalación completa, por lo que calculamos los valores UGR indicados en el catálogo en base a una instalación estándar común. Recomendamos el cálculo del UGR en su instalación en la práctica para asegurar el valor UGR deseado. IP De acuerdo con la norma EN 60598-1, las luminarias se clasifican en función de la protección derivada de los elementos constructivos. el grado de protección se indica mediante las letras IP seguidas de un número de 2 cifras, aunque sólo se muestran las dos primeras. 1ª cifra: Indica la protección del material contra la entrada de cuerpos extraños y polvo, así como de personas que entran en contacto con partes activas del dispositivo. 0 - No protegido. 1 - Protegido contra objetos extraños > 50 mm. 2 - Protegido contra objetos extraños > 12 mm. 3 - Protegido contra objetos extraños > 2,50 mm. 4 - Protegido contra objetos extraños > a 1 mm. 5 - Protegido contra el polvo. 6 - Totalmente estanco al polvo.

Llamado así porque el único control requerido es un interruptor de pulsar para hacer, también conocido como Touch Dimming. No existe un’estándar’, por lo que existen varios métodos de cableado dependiendo del fabricante del lastre/accionamiento. DALI permite la conexión de equipos de diferentes fabricantes. La red DALI está formada por un controlador y uno o varios dispositivos de iluminación con interfaces DALI. El controlador puede monitorear y controlar la intensidad de cada luz, proporcionando hasta 256 niveles de brillo entre 0-100%. La extensión inalámbrica está disponible para la red DALI.
