Each year donors generously support our hospitals and foundation through bequests, charitable trusts, beneficiary designations on retirement plans and annuities, plus many other unique giving methods. Iowa Health Foundation and our hospitals deeply appreciate each and every one of these legacy gifts. Estate/Legacy gifts were received in 2010 from the following friends:
Belva Barnett, Stuart, Iowa Belva’s trust was added to Blank Children’s Hospital Endowment to provide for the ongoing needs of children.
Mildred Corey, Des Moines Mildred made a generous bequest to John Stoddard Cancer Center. Her gift will be used for a priority need at the cancer center.
Margaret Swanson, Des Moines Margaret made generous gifts to both Iowa Lutheran Hospital and Iowa Methodist Medical Center from her life estate on her vacation home. Margaret’s gift to Iowa Lutheran will help with ongoing improvements and her gift to Iowa Methodist will be used for planned improvements to the ICU/CCU and Emergency Department.
