A regional strategy to develop the sector
Une stratégie régionale pour le développement de la filière Pour répondre aux enjeux de la santé de demain, la Région Aquitaine a, depuis 2007, mobilisé plus de 135 M€ pour développer la filière et s’est dotée d’un Plan Santé ambitieux pour répondre aux enjeux de la santé de demain. Elle s’engage en particulier fortement dans la lutte contre les maladies chroniques, et pour un vieillissement en bonne santé. Elle a été sélectionnée par le ministère des Affaires Sociales et de la Santé pour développer une filière «Silver Économie». Bordeaux Métropole appuie la stratégie de renforcement de l’attractivité économique de son territoire en apportant, aux côtés de la Région Aquitaine, tout son soutien à cette filière stratégique.

Un cluster et des associations spécialisées Le Cluster TIC Santé aquitain vise à renforcer la synergie entre les différents acteurs de la filière pour répondre aux enjeux d’amélioration continue du système de santé par le biais de l’outil informatique. Membre du cluster, le GIE Télésanté Aquitaine définit les besoins du secteur en matière d’échange d’information et de partage des compétences. 2ACBI (Association Aquitaine Compétences Biomatériaux et Implants) met en réseau les compétences académiques et industrielles dans le domaine des dispositifs médicaux implantables. Le GIPSO (Groupement des Industries Pharmaceutiques et de Santé du Sud-Ouest) accompagne les industriels dans leur recherche d’innovation et leur développement. En lien avec le pôle de compétitivité Route des Lasers, deux initiatives sont développées : ››BIPSA : réseau d’excellence pour susciter l’émergence de projets transversaux en Bio-ImageriePhotonique et Santé. ››Alphamed : antenne du centre technologique Alphanov dédiée au transfert des technologies du laser vers la santé.
A life sciences cluster and dedicated associations The Aquitaine e-health cluster aims to consolidate the synergies between the different players in the industry by using IT tools to satisfy the demand for ongoing improvement of the health system. As a member of the cluster, GIE Télésanté Aquitaine defines the needs of the sector in terms of exchanging information and pooling skills. 2ACBI (Association Aquitaine Compétences Biomatériaux et Implants) networks academic and industrial skills in the field of implants. GIPSO (Pharmaceutical Industries Association) supports industries in their search for innovation and development.
Two initiatives have been developed in partnership with the Route des Lasers national cluster: ››BIPSA: Network of excellence promoting the emergence of cross-field projects in Bio-imagery, photonics and Health. ››Alphamed: a branch of the Alphanov technology center dedicated to transferring laser technologies to the health sector.

Sa mise en œuvre a lieu sur l’espace Biogalien, propriété du Groupe Caisse Martignas des Dépôts. -sur-Jalle La Technopole Bordeaux Unitec anime le pôle et déploie les missions de l’association Biogalien, dont les membres sont les entreprises.Par ailleurs, la technopole accompagne les entreprises innovantes, de l’incubation à la croissance, dans la structuration de leurs projets, la mobilisation de réseaux d’experts et l’accès aux financements.

The Bordeaux integrated oncology research site (BRIO) is supported by the Bergonié Institute, the Regional Oncology Center. BRIO comprises six programs, four of which focus on specific tumours: breast, sarcoma, myeloid and hepatic. The Aquitaine establishments are members of the «Cancéropole du Grand Sud-Ouest» competitiveness cluster. Pelican collaborative project: combining several public and private partners to create a secure medical software module designed to improve the course of treatment in oncology.
