Mountains Explore the fascinating mountains of Oman. By following the old footpaths of the Hajar Mountains, you can reach some of the most unspoilt corners of Arabia.

Culture Oman - country of Sinbad the Sailor and the land of frankincense. Almost everywhere, the cultural essence of the Sultanate can be sampled. Visit the labyrinth of narrow alleys of a market place or some of the numerous historical monuments. Several ancient forts and falaj (traditional water systems) are protected

by UNESCO under World Heritage listing. Some museums are dedicated to traditional handcrafts, and skills, which are still passed on from one generation to the next. Whether it be the production of a Khanjar (a convoluted silver dagger), ceramics or weaving; in the Sultanate of Oman a lot of things are still handmade.
