Oscillating diamond files for finishing preparation margins It is highly important in the preparation and finishing of cavity margins that the surfaces be fully smooth and even. Both in vivo and in vitro studies have demonstrated that Cavishape files are superior to standard hand tools (“axial cavity trimmers“) and even to vibratory instruments – they help prevent enamel fractures. Preparation margins finished with Cavishape files are precise while adjacent teeth are preserved.

Product description n Highly flexible, 45° tip angle, onesided diamond coated files n 2 widths (1 and 1.5mm) and 2 grits (40 and 25µm) n Rigid files (Set “S”) 90° tip angle, in 1.5mm width and 2 grits (40 and 25µm) To be used in combination with KaVo head 61 LRG or KaVo contra-angle Intracompact 2061 CHC.

Indications Finishing of box preparations (Class II) n Slots, minifillings, fillings n Adhesive restorations (ceramic, composite) n Cerec preparations (especially Set S) Benefits n Precise, preserving finishing of preparation margins n Smooth homogeneous preparation surfaces n No iatrogenic damages to the adjacent teeth

Intensiv Bevelshape Set University of Bern, Switzerland

Oscillating diamond files for perfect bevelled edges and preparation margins A key factor for an ideal cavity preparation for composite fillings, gold inlays and overlays is a precise margin beveling with sharp edges. In the case of prosthetic restorations, the margin finishing of shoulder preparations and the bevelling of chamfer preparations are decisive for the quality of the result. The single-side diamond coating helps to prevent iatrogenic damage to adjacent teeth and injury to periodontal tissue.
