n Wednesday, October 30th I was given the opportunity to experience TECMUN XXI alongside the students who represented Instituto La Paz at the Tec de Monterrey.
watching as their perspectives changed.
I saw a myriad of different emotions reflected in their faces, from the over excitement of a school trip on the bus to the seriousness throughout a moderated caucus.
As I sat with the children during the closing ceremony, there was a treasuring moment when Edgar Franco received an Honorific Mention for his work within the League of Arab States and as he walked up to receive his award our children at that moment came together as one.
It was astonishing to see that those young and, at times, innocent faces could express a rollercoaster of emotions all in one day.
They finally understood how each had played their part and that all their hard work had been truly worth it.
As the day went on, I was able to observe the eleven delegates at work, debating, negotiating, mingling with the other ministers during the closed sessions and
They will each take away different experiences from this event but mine will be how a group of children came together and supported each other.
