Cozy up your living room or bedroom by making a removable cover for your lamp shade. Once spring comes, remove the cover and put it away for next fall! Instructions: Measure around the outside of the lamp shade; add one inch. Measure the height of the shade; add one to two inches. Measure the width of the sweater and if necessary, sew a seam on one side to make it the appropriate width. Turn the cut edge over 3/4 of an inch and stitch the edge. Do the same to the bottom edge. If you prefer, you can leave the bottom edge as is (then you will only need to add one extra inch to the height of the shade when you cut). Slip the cover over your existing lampshade and enjoy the cozy light.
