Where does it fit in your life? Presenter: Steve McIsaac, Inside Education 2:00 – 2:30 pm • City of Edmonton’s The Way We Green Presenter: Heather Wheeliker/Jim Andrais, City of Edmonton BREAK 3:00 – 4:00 pm • Energy in My Life o TED-­‐talk style presentations on: o Natural Gas – Ryan Kwasniewski, Encana o Transportation – Howaida Hassan, City of Edmonton 4:00 – 5:30 pm • Energy Activities & Information Booths o Students will be divided into two groups – half will participate in hands-­‐on interactive energy activities, the other will visit with a variety of information and career-­‐related booths – the groups will switch after 45 minutes. 6:00 – 7:30 pm • KEYNOTE DINNER “I went to Antarctica and all I got was…A comprehensive knowledge about climate change and what I can do about it back in Canada” Speakers: Dayle Pett & Jennifer Keller

9:30 – 11:00 am • Energy in Our City Tours o Students will be divided into three groups and will participate in different tours:  University of Alberta Sustainability Tour, Lisa Dockman, University of Alberta  Belgravia NetZero house, Gordon Howell  NAIT Alternative Energy Lab, Dr. Jim Sandercock, NAIT 11:00 – 11:30 am • BREAK + Team Debrief 11:30 – 12 noon • Queen Elizabeth High School Presentation Presenter: Mr. Aaron Dublenko, Queen Elizabeth High School LUNCH 1:00 – 1:15 pm • Personal Energy Activity -­ Footprint o Facilitator: Heather Wheeliker, City of Edmonton 1:15 – 2:30 pm • Edmonton’s Energy Future This interactive workshop will introduce everyone to some scenarios for Edmonton’s energy future. Participants will have a chance to assess some potential futures for energy in the City, and to start mapping out some ways we can contribute to an ever-­‐more sustainable energy future. Presenter: Barbara Daly/Heather Wheeliker, City of Edmonton BREAK 2:45 – 3:45 pm • Action Planning An important outcome of Generate Edmonton is for each of the schools gathered to develop an action plan for their school. Based on what we’ve learned over the past two days, what are some specific, achievable activities we can undertake this year, and into the future to share the information and work towards energy efficiency within our daily lives and within our school. 3:45 – 4 pm • Evaluation and Bon Voyage!
