THE 2014 ROCKERS REUNION
Fueled by the surging popularity and increased exposure of vintage motorcycling in recent years, Rocker’s Reunion has grown exponentially from its humble beginnings in 2007. Year one saw 20 attendees and only a handful of bikes. We’re now seeing over 500 bikes and upward of 1000 people and we expect those numbers to grow significantly again this year. The popularity of the event led us to explore an option in 2013 that we never would have thought possible—the closure of 39th Street between Meridian St. and Illinois St. This provided two major advantages. First, it removes the element of through-traffic and dramatically increases public safety. Secondly, it created space for a dedicated Vendor Row, which in turn added to the overall offerings of the event and provided vendors with a large, targeted audience. Generously, the North United Methodist Church allowed us to utilize one of their parking lots adjacent to 39th St., which created an even larger event area. Because it worked so well in 2013, we’re planning to recreate the event layout for 2014 with only minor modifications.
FOR MIDWESTERN MOTORCYCLE ENTHUSIASTS, THE 2014 ROCKERS REUNION VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE SHOW SHOULD NOT TO BE MISSED.
The Trophy Unveiling Party
To create another branding and marketing opportunity for our sponsors as well as to open the motorcycling culture up to those outside our normal circles, 2013 was the inaugural year for a precursory event to the Rockers Reunion: Within the gallery-like setting of local marketing firm, Pivot Marketing, we unveiled the trophies created by Sean Neal (a Ton-Up Indy member) as true pieces of art. Along side those trophies were a pair of motorcycles, vintage helmets, jackets, sculptures, photographs, prints and other motorcycle-related artwork and paraphernalia. Held the month before Rockers Reunion on a Friday night during the city-wide art gallery open house event called First Friday, bikes took over the street-side parking lanes, motorcyclists and nonmotorcyclists mingled, free beer was served and camaraderie was enjoyed by all.
Art, bikes, and beer. It was the perfect party. We would host the trophy unveiling again any time. Jenn Hoffman President, Pivot Marketing

THE BIKE SHOW
The main reason for Rockers Reunion has historically been the bike show. Originally conceived as a ride-and-park show for motorcycles that were truly ridden - not trailer queens - it’s remained that to this day. Riders can choose to come down, park their bike and hang out or they can enter their bike into the judged portion of the bike show in hopes of winning a trophy in one of the categories. While the show bikes are being judged, attendees have plenty of time to do what motorists do best: look at and talk about motorcycles! They can also grab a beer at The Melody Inn, get some grub from an on-site food truck as well as spend some money at the booths on Vendor Row.
The Rockers Reunion is THE Premier Motorcycle Enthusiast event in Central Indiana. Year after year this event just keeps getting bigger and better with a wide variety of bikes in many classes and various levels of completion and investment. There is something for each and every fan of the motorcycle culture. It’s my single favorite event of the season and I look forward to the Rockers Reunion every year. Jim “Vonzipper” Lee President, Indianapolis Motorcyclist Group
The popularity of the event has led us to explore an option we never would have thought possible—the closure of Illinois Street between 38th and 39th. As we see it, this would provide two major advantages. First, it removes the element of through-traffic and dramatically increases public safety. Second, it creates space for vendor participation, which in turn adds to the overall offerings of the event and provides potential vendors with a large, targeted audience. Why we need sponsorship money: - Permitting Fees - Security Costs - Medical Staff Costs - Insurance Costs
- Promotional Material Expenses - Toilet Facility Rental Costs - Barrier Rental Costs - Clean-up Costs

Rockers Reunion is a great event for us every year. Not only does it bring a large amount of new customers into our business, it’s a great event for the community. The show generates goodwill with other businesses in the area and the neighborhood in general. A very positive experience all around. Rob Ondrish Co-Owner, Melody Inn
Choosing Rockers Reunion Indy to associate our brand with is a nobrainer. It’s a top-notch motorcycle event with far-reaching exposure that’s led to some quality connections for us. It’s also a great environment to meet and shake hands with colleagues. Corey Wilkinson Wilkinson Brothers, Inc. / GoodSparkGarage.com
THE AFTERPARTY The beer garden at Flat 12 Bierwerks is the perfect place to end the day after the Rolling Bones Ride and the bike show. Food trucks were on hand serving dinner and the beer flowed from the taps while the trophies were awarded. Bands and burlesque round out the near perfect day.
