Reception Locations Gurney's Inn

February 12, 2014

Popular Wedding Venues Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club 231 Mid Ocean Drive, Bridgehampton 631-537-1180 East Hampton Point 295 Three Mile Harbor Road, Springs 631-329-2800

Gurney’s Inn, with its world-class ocean views and beaches, would be a perfect wedding venue even without the worldclass service. When you book a wedding, you inherit three new friends, Ginny, Phyllis, and Zelko. They become your “best friends” from that moment on. Every couple is encouraged to plan a wedding that reflects their personal style. Switching things up a little bit makes it fun and exciting. Gurney’s only hosts one wedding per day, so the bride becomes the VIP of The Inn. There is nothing like a beach ceremony customized by the couple to reflect their personal tastes in music -- perhaps a harp, violin or the music of a steel drum playing in the sand. Just in case Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate, a newly renovated Oceanview Dining Room converts to a beautiful chapel. Following the ceremony a cocktail reception, perhaps held on the breeze-swept Lido or Sun Decks, is a perfect place to unwind. Top shelf open bar serving cocktails of distinction, along with creative hot and cold hors d’oeuvres and of course, Gurney’s Famous Raw Bar, served over ice in a Sailboat Display are delightful features. For dinner, beautifully appointed “place card” tables decorated with sand, shells, beach glass, mini-lighthouses, and driftwood set the scene. The elegant banquet room, with sweeping views of the ocean, easily accommodates up to 220 guests! An award winning chef and his culinary team will prepare a sumptuous dinner menu or buffet; the executive patisserie will create a fairytale wedding cake, designed by the bride and groom. Included in the package is a deluxe bridal suite that the bridal party can call home the entire day of the wedding. The folks at Gurney’s believe that on the day of the wedding the bride should be concerned with only one thing: making herself as beautiful as she can – on the outside, but also on the inside and this means, staying relaxed, calm and keeping a sense of humor. All the other details will be taken care of by wedding coordinators and their staff. Gurney’s will host a bridal showcase on Saturday from 10 AM until 3:00 PM.
