Over and above our wide-ranging selection of standard solutions, IMEM can also design the exact made-to-measure BOXlift© which you and your business need, adapting it to your precise specifications. • Flexible and straightforward installation. BOXlift© installation is designed to cause the minimum disruption to the day-to-day operation of your business, and does not require messy on-site building work. BOXlift© requires no extra space at all for its installation. Goods-only lift
BOXlift© is a lift designed exclusively for goods transport and is fully compliant with the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. The BOXlift© is not a passenger lift: no person should travel in the lift with the goods.
Optional extras Lift landing doors: manual folding shutter gates. Two-hour fire resistance in accordance with BS EN1634-1. Lift car doors: manual picket gates, with or without electrical interlock. Lift car ceiling: galvanised metal sheeting or steel mesh. Lift car floor: a choice of rubber, aluminium chequer plate or steel chequer plate is available. In-car buffer rails and kick plates: available in wood, stainless steel or PVC. Paint finish: non-epoxy finishes are available on consultation.
Access ramp: aluminium chequer plate finish available. Keyed push-buttons. ‘Out of service’ function: when out of use for a given period, BOXlift© automatically descends to its lowest stop and goes out of service until called. Prevention of uncontrolled lift car movement function. LED lighting solutions. BOXlift© Installation Kits: assembly tools are available both for the mechanical system and for the modular structure*.
* There are three different BOXlift© mechanical installation kits available: one for where the clear space above the modular structure is over 500mm (A Type), one for where the space above is less than 500mm and the lift car depth less than or equal to 1500mm (B Type), and one for where the space above the structure is less than 500mm and the lift car depth is greater than 500mm (C Type). Consult our Marketing Department and we will indicate the appropriate kit.
The geared traction motor is housed in the upper part of the modular structure, removing the need for a separate machine room.
The inside of the lift car is finished with coated steel sheeting and is very durable and hard-wearing. Further car wall protection is available in the form of buffer rails and kick plates.
The freestanding BOXliftŠ modular structure incorporates a 100mm shaft pit, requiring a straightforward loading ramp. As an alternative, a 100mm pit can be built below the structure.

BOXlift© is designed to take maximum advantage of the available space and optimise its productive use. NOTE: The widths and depths available are entirely independent of each other. Any depth can be combined with any width across all the rated load capacities. In the case of a fully enclosed lift shaft: at the terminal landing there must be 600mm clearance above the door opening to allow access to the maintenance trapdoor. On the other floors, the structural opening must be at least the lift car headroom + 180mm.
