Asami
Being innnovative as a vocation After the success for their debut in the sofa segment, Colico Design goes on researching innovative shapes and materials to offer the international market riven by their strong attitude towards the research of new products, Colico Design – that has been specializing in the manufacturing of tables and chairs for ninety years – made their debut in the world of sofas just few months ago. And they’ve been immediately successful. The company from Varedo, infact, launched Asami, a particular line of couches, on the international market. The line is composed by modular sofas, armchairs, poufs and small tables, characterized by a structure made of transparent methacrylate and including high-comfort cushions. Elegant and essential, Asami is available both for indoor and for outdoor furnishing and its outdoor models are made with water-repellent or fully draining fabrics. The methacrylate is available both in crystal-clear and in extra-clear version. Colico Design designers have also conceived a LED lightning system that, thanks to a remote control, allows choosing nine different colors or setting changing tonalities, in a game of alternation, echoing the more and more appreciated chromotherapy. In September, in the new halls of the Meuble Paris, Colico Design is going to present a new, interesting evolution of this line, enriching it with new models and new laser engravings. “To us, the French market is very important: undoubtedly our reference market – explains Walter Colico, chairman of the company. French love our design proposals, featuring a strong emotional component and the pay much attention to the anything that’s innovative and appreciate the use of particular materials, such as the methacrylate. And it’s exactly such interest that has led us to the creation of different versions of the line, certain that they’ll all be successful”. The expansion of the Asami range, in any case, won’t be the only news from Colico at the Mauble Paris. For the first time, in fact, the company is also showcasing the chair called Bip. With its clean and highly functional design, Bip is made of Hirek®, a patented material, standing out for its exceptional elasticity, lightness and glossiness, perfectly unbreakable and 100% recyclable. At the same time, Spoonny, the stool shaped as a folded coffee spoon and well-known in its leather version, is being proposed in a transparent methacrylate model, too. The new Scottish design, used for many models of chairs and stools, is also of methacrylate. Lat but not least, with a square-pipe, telescopic extension system designed by the company, the table called Ludwig, with its glass top, is also making its debut in Paris.

oujours à la recherche de produits innovants, Colico Design – spécialisée depuis 80 ans dans la production de tables et de chaises – s’est lancée il y a quelques mois dans la production de fauteuils et de canapés. Son audace fut immédiatement couronnée de succès. En effet, l’entreprise de Varedo (Milan) a présenté au marché international sa ligne Asami, ligne particulière de canapés modulables, fauteuils, poufs et petites tables, caractérisée par un mariage réussi entre une structure en méthacrylate transparent et des coussins d’un grand confort. Elégante et épurée, la ligne Asami est proposée pour l’intérieur et pour l’extérieur. Pour l’extérieur, des tissus hydrofuges ou complètement drainants ont été utilisés. Le méthacrylate est proposé en deux versions: transparent ou couleur de verre clair. De plus, les designers de Asami ont mis au point un système d’éclairage des structures avec des leds: à l’aide d’une télécommande, il est facile de choisir parmi les neuf couleurs proposées (ou de les faire se succéder) recréant ainsi la chromothérapie à domicile. Colico Design présentera en septembre à Meuble Paris une intéressante évolution de la ligne Asami avec de nouveaux modèles et de nouveaux motifs au laser. “Pour nous le marché français est très important, c'est sans aucun doute notre marché de référence, explique Walter Colico, président de l'entreprise. tiennent une forte composante émotionnelle. Les français sont très attentifs à tout ce qui est innovant et ils apprécient l'utilisation de matériaux particuliers comme le méthacrylate. Cet intérêt nous a poussé à présenter de nouvelles déclinaisons de la ligne puisque nous pensons que l'on obtiendra une réponse très positive de la part du public et des professionnels du secteur”. Toutefois l'élargissement de la Gamme de Asami ne sera pas l'unique nouveauté de Colico Design à Meuble Paris. La chaise Bip sera aussi présentée. Au design pur et particulièrement fonctionnel, Bip est réalisée en Hirek®, un matériel breveté à l'élasticité incomparable, très légère et lumineuse, d’une résistance à toute épreuve et recyclable à 100%. Quant à Spoonny, le tabouret à la forme de petite cuillère pliée, déjà connu dans sa version en cuir, il sera désormais proposé dans une version en méthacrylate transparent. Toujours en méthacrylate, un nouveau motif fait son entrée dans la gamme: un motif écossais utilisé pour différents modèles de chaises et de tabourets. Enfin, avec un système de rallonges télescopiques savamment étudié par les designers de l'entreprise, la table Ludwig, avec son plateau en verre, arrivera à Paris pour le plus grand plaisir des visiteurs.
