Brancyn’s Restaurant & Bar Brancyn’s opened in March of 2018 in the former Black Horse Restaurant location and serves up steaks and seafood, burgers and sandwiches, in a casual, 90-seat dining space complete with a pub. Our name celebrates two inspiring and influential women in the life of the establishment’s owner: Brandy Rae Lorah Cahill, his stepdaughter, and Cynthia Ann Achey Sullivan, his sister. “Bran” is derived from Brandy, and “cyn” from Cynthia. Brandy passed suddenly in 2016 at the age of 40 from a bilateral pulmonary embolism. Cynthia died at age 44 in 2005 after a courageous six-year battle with ovarian cancer. There’s something to please every palate at Brancyn’s – be it a Veggie Melt, Beef Wellington, a Pasta Seafood Medley, or even PB&J for the kiddos. During the cooler months, warm up with some chili or Brancyn’s Baked French Onion Soup. When it warms up, enjoy your meal on the patio space. 2170 N.
