Foundation id11 creates artist residencies and exhibition spaces where artistic experimentation is nurtured.
march - november 2010 on_LOCATION projects
op locatie In addition to the temporary project space in the Poptahof neighbourhood, id11 realized op_LOCATIE (on location) projects at five other locations in Delft, The Netherlands. Art centre Kadmium invited id11 to launch art project DELFT OP ZICHT. At the exhibition space of creative laboratory 38CC, id11 realized a long-cherished dream under the name of DE SPEELTUIN (the playground). id11 participated in the first Museumnacht of Delft and was present at the Car Art festival. From March until December 2010, twenty-seven artists created works of art related to one of the locations. Each artist worked on their own project proposal, sometimes within a specific theme. Presentations of the works and lectures by the artists were given on a monthly basis. HET TIJDELIJK VERBLIJF, id11’s artist-in-residence project, was located in the Poptahof neighbourhood, in a building slated for demolition. Here, (inter)national artists were able to live and work on a temporary basis. upcoming id11 continues to realize projects in temporary spaces. In 2011, id11 will examine the possibility of a more permanent artist-in-residence location and will investigate collaboration opportunities with Delft’s cultural organizations. foundation id11 www.id11.nl info@id11.nl
