Traditional South African Recipe - Potjiekos

Whether you are Irish, love the color green, or just want your wedding to be a great party, St. Patrick's Day would be a terrific time to have a wedding. After all, it is a day known for being a fun time, and everyone loves a party on St. Patrick's Day. Bring out some traditional Irish touches, and make your wedding a St. Patrick's Day celebration to remember! Combine all ingredients in a crock-pot or slow cooked slow cooked lamb stew jamie oliver and set to medium heat. Cider should be ready in about half an hour but the longer you cook it the more blended the flavors are. While the decor and woodwork help set the scene, what makes D'Arcy's a good place is the beer (a great pour on the Guinness) and the very affordable Irish food. While the food is not particularly adventurous it includes good Irish staples such as Bangers and Mash Shepherd's Pie and Fish n Chips for entrees and affordable sandwiches and slow cooked lamb casserole wraps as well. You, my friend, get to have a delicious bowl of sweet potato beef stew every day of the week. Simply throw a portion into a small cooking pot, heat it up on the stove top (sorry, I don't use microwaves), and enjoy the variety of flavors and textures! Baked Potato - Another simple way of using the harvest to feed your wedding guests! Just clean the potatoes and bake them up in foil; they'll stay warm for a while, too. Fresh chives are a good addition to top them with. Beef Stew: Make sure you didn't add potato's in to the beef stew already. Follow your normal beef lamb stew but leave out the potatoes. Then poor the stew over your baked potato and dig in. Sop up fallen stew with a biscuit. For a sit down dinner, you can create the most beautiful St. Patrick's Day setting with just a few simple touches. The key is to use things you already have around your home. If you do not have a green tablecloth, you can use a sheet or just a piece of green fabric to bring festivity to the table. On top of the tablecloth, place a white table runner with a nice crystal bowl filled with fresh green apples. A pedestal bowl works the best with is not necessary. White placemats and green cloth napkins are a great extra touch but not necessary if you do not have them.

After the lamb stew for toddlers, scones and boiled potatoes are washed down with green beer, relaxation and fun is in order. Gather around the TV to watch one of these classic Irish themed flicks.
