The 8th annual Ivy Sports Symposium will be held at Harvard Law School in Cambridge, MA on Friday, November 22, 2013. This will be the Symposium’s first time at Harvard, making it the fourth different Ivy League campus to host the conference. Every year, the intimate setting combined with engaging content and dynamic speakers make it a “must attend” event. The Symposium has long set the standard for college-based sports business conferences and it continues to grow. For the third straight year, the Symposium has partnered with SportsPro to honor the 10 NEXT, an award highlighting top talent in the future generation of sports industry leaders. This year’s 10 NEXT winners will be recognized at the Symposium, lead educational workshops and take part in the esteemed panel lineup.

Q &A WIT H E X EC U T I V E D I R ECTO R , A L E X ROSE N What is unique about ISS? Ours is the only event of its scale to be hosted in an intimate environment on a university campus. As top industry executives roam the halls and lasting business relationships are formed, classes, filled with the leaders of tomorrow, are still in session. The speakers love returning to their college roots and truly enjoy the educational experience and interacting with their eventual successors. The event has increased every year in size, quality and reputation; how are you tapping into this growth? In eight short years, the Symposium has grown from a small gathering on Princeton’s campus to a summit attracting speakers and attendees from around the globe. The event certainly has a much more professional feel these days, but has managed to stay true to its student roots, with students comprising half of the attendee base and the entire Planning Committee. The organization has plans for further growth as well, with the first-ever Global Sports Symposium scheduled for May 8, 2014 at Emirates Stadium in London.
