then make-up legend stuart conran came along.

we didn't make a mould for tim burton's batman suit because michael keaton can't breathe through his nose.

he turned george into a zombie.

then he showed us his shaun of the dead mask...

... and his big box of make-up tricks.

stuart - and george the zombie - then proceeded to follow me everywhere around the o2. They kept saying hi.


the Q+As continued with stuntman / brave nutjob Nick gillard...

i set myself on fire for interview with the vampire, then popped a blister on my ankle and did it again...

you crazy.

... oh, and i once went to Notting hill carnival with david bowie.

... and aardman legend Peter lord.

freebies turned up for saturday's secret screening...

... and for breakfast the next day.


on sunday, i discovered hello panda.

the food comes out of his brain.

they were better than the fairly good fright night...

... and the dull cowboys and aliens.


other awesome Q+As included monsters director gareth edwards...

it isn't monster sex unless there's penetration.

i once inserted a dinosaur into bullitt.

and the one and only terry gilliam.

3d is just a gimmick to sell Televisions.


but the highlight of the weekend was undoubtedly...
