MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN OF STUDENTS

egend has it that a hurricane destroyed the wooden structure once housing the Polytechnic Institute which gave way to what is now Inter American University of Puerto Rico. The only structure surviving the wrath of Nature was the brick staircase at the entryway.
Those famous stairs, now located in the San Germán campus, appear now, symbolically, on the Inter official. At the time, the mood of Reverend John Will Harris, our founder, got somber. In a moment, a structure so difficult in the making seemed to vanish. Enlightened and wise, his wife Eunice encouraged
