elcome to the fall 2019 edition of Hudson Reporter Family, our guide to services, resources, and all things family in Hudson County. With winter around the corner, it’s time to explore ways that kids can enjoy fun things during the colder months, whether it’s indoor activities or sledding in the park. Parents, this guide is designed to make your job easier. You’ve got plenty to do without having to, for instance, track down every art class or every basketball league to keep your kids happy and busy all fall and winter. Our goal is to provide you with a fun, useful guide that’s easy to navigate.

Right in your backyard Residents of Hudson County have easy access to unmatched urban resources right in our backyard. In fall and winter there are an array of sports and cultural programs to suit any child, whether active or artsy. Even in the cold weather, Hudson County’s many parks are fun for skiing, sledding, skating, and just playing in the snow. Also available are classes in art, music, and theater, as well as coaching and instruction in just about every indoor sport. Be sure to check out local parenting groups. Get-togethers and events give parents a chance to network and com-

pare notes about family-friendly resources. Whether you’re looking for an activity or a service, you’ll find it in this comprehensive guide.

Suggestions welcome Once you’ve reviewed the guide, keep it as a handy resource, at least until our next edition comes out in the spring. If you notice that one of your favorite resources is missing or if you have other suggestions, email tishk@hudsonreporter.com and put HR FAMILY in the subject line. We’re striving to make Hudson Reporter Family the ultimate resource for Hudson County households.
