We hope that this packet will help you to create an event that’s fun for aspiring crime solvers everywhere — it won’t take much to top Timmy! Please read through the activities on these pages and decide what works for your needs and for the kids who turn out. Thanks again for the wonderful support for this wildly popular new series. EVENT KIT GETTING STARTED This packet includes a number of suggestions for games and activities for your fun event. You’ll have to gauge the size and the age range of your crowd to determine which of these activities will work best and in what order. We’d like to ask that you please kick off the event by reading the following letter from the author to the group:

Hi, everyone! Thank you so much for coming out to join the Timmy Failure book party! I wish I could be there with you in person. I want to say thanks to each and every one of you here. You have made Timmy Failure a hit, and I want you to know how much I appreciate that. It has been so much fun for me to break out of the daily comic strip box, to tell stories about Timmy and his sidekick polar bear, Total. I’m thrilled to tell you that I will be releasing not one but TWO brand-new Timmy books for you this year. You won’t have to wait long! We’ve put together a few activities to help celebrate the launch of the new book, and hopefully you’ll pick up some detective tips along the way. Timmy needs all the help he can get! Sincerely, Stephan
