MahaSamutr Country Club; Thailand’s 1st All-activity Private Country Club MahaSamutr Country Club Hua Hin primarily targets families with facilities to satisfy the lifestyle needs of every member of the family in all age groups, from toddlers to the elderly. Mr. Sorapoj Techakraisri, Chief Executive Officer, PACE Development Corporation Plc, said, “While we are building it to the standards of the world’s best country clubs, we are offering initial memberships at a rate that represents double or triple the value when compared to the same class of exclusive country clubs in Singapore and Hong Kong.” “We are confident that there is a large group of people who are looking for the quality and exclusivity we are offering. We are spending all that it takes to deliver quality which is why the investment is set at Bht 2,300 million. We are aiming for 1,000 members in 2015 and expect 75% of them to be Thai members and 25% expatriate and overseas members,” he said.

Mr. James McManaman, Club Manager, said, “We have an experienced group of managers who have worked in the world’s best clubs and hospitality organisations.” Services and activities will be appropriate for small children, schoolchildren, teenagers and adults at working age and retirement age in four main areas: (1) Sports – with a full range of water, outdoor and indoor sports facilities including an Olympic-sized swimming pool, and facilities for football, rugby, and cricket, tennis, squash, windsurfing, sailing, rock climbing, yoga, pilates, fitness and a golf putting green
Among the club’s highlight features is a massive 45-rai man-made lagoon with clear, turquoise waters – the largest in Asia. Mr. McManaman commented that, “The beautiful clear water lagoon is something that is really extraordinary that has to be seen to be believed. Apart from swimming, residents can go kayaking, windsurfing, sailing and scuba diving in the lagoon. All of this is unprecedented in Thailand and we are confident that there is now demand for this level of quality in the Thai market.” MahaSamutr Country Club Hua Hin started taking memberships in April 2015 both in Bangkok and in Hua Hin on Soi Hua Hin 112 opposite the site. Membership is available to individuals and families on a life and annual basis with fees starting from Bht 500,000 for an individual to Bht 1 million for a family life membership. Phase 1 is expected to be completed in mid2016 and the entire development is expected to be completed in late 2017.
