GOUDII’NI NATIVE AMERICAN ARTS GALLERY Ebb/Flow is a multi-generational look at the currents of Native American students, faculty, and staff moving through Humboldt State University over time. This show explores connections and interactions between HSU and the neighborhood of which it is a part, solidifying ties with artists and makers, recognizing their importance within the region. Artwork is integral to the continuation of indigenous culture - from traditional materials, processes, and ideas, to the transformation of forms into new media. Indigenous students, faculty, and staff have been integral to the creation and development of HSU culture from the beginning, affecting and being affected by the campus community. The creative range of Native artists who have passed through HSU over the decades attests to the breadth of artistic styles, mediums, and processes represented within Northwest Coast tribal communities.
