Dear Fellow Houstonian: On Friday, a federal judge ruled that candidates for city office, in the 2015 city election, could immediately begin raising campaign contributions. I am writing to ask you for as generous a contribution as you are able to give at this time to my campaign for Houston City Controller. As you may remember, I am a former At-Large City Council Member. I currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Houston Firefighters’ Relief and Retirement Fund and Houston Community College System. I have also served on the Board of the National League of Cities, State Bar of Texas, K9s4COPS, Children at Risk and the Northeast YMCA.
