At 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 20, 2015 the “One Mile of Smiles” MCJCF Juneteenth Parade

will take place on Texas Parkway (FM 2234) in Missouri City, Texas. This event is FREE and open to the general public. DETAILS: In its eleventh (13th) year, the “One Mile of Smiles” Juneteenth Parade, remains one of the MCJCF's showcase events as it annu-

ally reflects the diverse culture of Fort Bend County. A few of the participants in the “One Miles of Smiles” Juneteenth Parade are the renowned Greater Fort Bend All Star Band, the Buffalo Soldiers Color Guards, the Phyllis Wheatley High School Band, the Houston Texans Cheerleaders, and various other corporate and civic groups, celebrities, dignitaries, and the beautiful floats that grace our parade in celebration of Juneteenth and the Emancipation Proclamation.

Immediately following the “One Mile of Smiles” MCJCF Juneteenth Parade on Saturday, June 20, 2015 a “Battle of the Bands” will take place at the Thurgood Marshall High School Athletic Field located at 1220 Buffalo Run, Missouri City, Texas 77489.
