How to keep your fridge squeaky clean in summers?

SUMMER IS HERE! A refrigerator is the most essential kitchen appliance that one needs in the summers, without a doubt. With the summer season calling for everything cold and fresh, the mess in fridge becomes a common affair. Drips, spills, and crumbs are bound to happen without a fair warning. Now to keep your double door refrigerator or single door refrigerator squeaky clean, here are some things you could do at home. Removing earlier stains Take out all the food and empty the fridge before starting to clean it properly. This would make the process so much easier. Raw meats should always be stored in the freezer section as it keeps it fresh longer. In case of a double door refrigerator, it should be kept in the middle or top, depending on the usage. Vegetable and fruit drawer: Fruit, vegetables, and salad vegetables that has been washed prior to storage go on the end shelf of the single door refrigerator. Make sure that the fruits and vegetables are wrapped in paper or plastic with tiny air holes to keep them protected from any serious contamination. Placing the latest items Newly purchased items should be placed behind the old ones. This ensures that you finish the food in the fridge without causing too much food wastage. Placing the condiments in the fridge door The fridge door is the warmest place in the fridge because it’s farther from the cooling and is continuously exposed. That means the dressings, condiments, and non-dairy drinks like juice that can be kept in warmer temperatures should be placed there. Also having all your


dressings, condiments, and non-dairy drinks should be stored in, one place making it better for the organization. Dispose spoilt food Once the food starts to spoil, it releases a hormone called ethylene, which is a natural ripening agent. Ethylene causes the surrounding produce to ripen quicker than usual, causing food to evidently spoil faster. When you do notice expired food in your fridge, don’t sit and wait for your next fridge cleaning. Make sure you get rid of it at that moment to keep the other food items fresh. These little tricks and tips will help you make sure your fridge stays squeaky clean during the summers and throughout the year.
