Then you should add a Work-Based Learning Extension to your certification! Hofstra University offers an Advanced Certificate in Work-Based Learning. The online program consists of two courses: SED 211 and SED 212. This extension to your teaching certification enables you to place students in a variety of work-b ased learning activities such as career exploration, internships, cooperative work experience, and community-based work experience programs. The advanced certificate in Work-Based Learning program leads to one of the following extensions:*
Career Development #8982 For those with Grades 7-12 Career and Technical Education Certification
Career Awareness #8981
For those with Grades 7-12 Teacher Certification or School Counselor Certification *Paid work experience outside the classroom is required.
