‘Up South’ The Great Migration in Sound & Movement The Department of Music in conjunction with the Department of Drama and Dance and the Hofstra Cultural Center present a concert commemorating the great migration of African-Americans over the first half of the 20th century. The program features acclaimed professional musicians, the Hofstra Chamber Singers and Jazz Ensemble, Hofstra student actors and dancers, and invited choral ensembles from Hempstead High School and Uniondale High School.
