This is a boutqiue fair and showcases the best of the best and gives you the opportunity to talk to each vendor without being overwelmed by huge crowds and too many choices. Hitch’d is run by Julia Clarke. Julia loves everything that is weddings, not only does she run hitch’d but she is also a Wedding Stylist (Lush Stylists), a Wedding Florist (Twig & Twine) and has a Sign, Prop & Backdrop company (Confetti). what air is to the lungs love is to the heart B AY LY & M O O R E When Wellington couple Kristy and Sam were planning their wedding they had their heart set on a magic spot deep in the Coromandel Peninsula where Kristy’s family had worked, lived and holidayed for generations - and where her grandfather’s sawmill and surrounding farm provided the perfect backdrop for their day. Preparations began months before when all of their family purpose-built a huge barn by the sawmill, sowed wildflowers in the surrounding fields, collected old chairs from a local hall, and built a staircase up into the forest ready for the summer.
Come the day the Coromandel turned on a classic slice of Kiwi summer and - cheered on by a wonderful collection of family and friends - they said ‘I Do’ in their hand-built barn surrounded by fresh picked wild-flowers and best mates, and with Sam playing guitar while Kristy walked down the aisle. Fast forward to a brief escape in the forest and a wild party on the shore at famed local haunt Hot Water beach and you’ve got a pictureperfect Kiwi coastal wedding, from start to finish.

and Styling LUSH STYLISTS Bringing together some of Aucklands best wedding professionals has always been a dream of mine so when Wild & Grace approached me about a styled shoot I jumped at the chance. This shoot was inspried by Winter, we wanted to capture the beauty of Winter to show brides that a Winter wedding doesn’t have to be out of the question. If I can set the scene - it was raining, yes honestly in these shots it was raining!! It was incredibly cold and windy and despite these less than ideal conditions what transpired was pure beauty. Like a real wedding when we do a styled shoot the weather does not always come on board and get with the programme. So much goes into planning a styled shoot that we just can’t rain delay so the show went on. Wenderholm was the perfect location as we wanted moody lighting, fantastic foliage and trees....well I wanted trees, trees, trees and more trees. For me having a natural backdrop
to wedding imagery is not only cost effective but it sets the scene and I have to say that these stunning trees we used to frame the gorgeous table setting were just perfect. Whilst scouting the location I just loved the lower branch and so the swing was born... hand dyed ribbon and gorgeous hanging blooms created this fabulous feature. This romantic inspired shoot used antqiue lace tableclothes from my Grandmother, silver & pewter vessels, soft foliage and pink blooms with hand dyed calico ribbons and hand painted signage that all added a special touch. Now I have convinced you Winter weddings can be beautiful I am sure you are thinking “out of my budget!” well not the case at all. This beautiful setting is incredibly affordable. love is in the air TWO FOXES A few months ago we got a little message in our inbox asking if we would be keen to be apart of a rooftop shoot. We thought about it for all of 2 minutes then jumped at the chance as who doesnt love a rooftop shoot with some pretty rad vendors on board. We came on to help with various elements including full Ceremony and Tablescape styling and came up with one of our favourite tables to date, that worked so perfectly with
the urban vibe of the rooftop in our humble opinion! Brick detail, Persian Rugs, Festoons and minimal Metal touches were all incorporated to create a subtle urban edged aesthetic that we are honestly pretty stoked about With the help of some phenomenal vendors including Markantonias stunning bouquet, Harriet Falveys bridal gowns and of course the man behind the lens, Kendrick Rhys, it turned out to be a stunner of a shoot that we had an absolute blast being a part of.

Modern Apothecary & TRIUMPH & DIASTER “When I was about 13 years of age my father gave me a framed poem called ‘IF’ by Rudyard Kipling. It was at a time when father and son were ‘butting heads’ so to speak so the poem was promptly defaced, graffitied over and thrown in a bottom drawer… but never thrown away. The poem is advice from a father to his son on how to be a man. It is about humility, honour, risk and reward. More than two decades later when the seed of an idea for a range of grooming products was forming, it was values like these that I had in mind. Olivia & Travis’ Rustic Farm Wedding Karaka, Auckland CORALEE STONE Where do we start with Olivia and Travis?! We had such a wonderful day filled with smiles, love and laughter! A serious highlight for us this summer. Liv and Trav and their incredible friends and family just had the most warm, friendly, loving vibe at this wedding. I suppose it’s pretty much just a reflection of them both as a couple! Liv lights up a room when she walks in, and Trav was looking dapper in that suit could melt any heart! Of course, the ties (and many other things for that matter) were lovingly handmade by Liv! These guys have such an eye for detail and everything came together so perfectly- from the light blue kombi van, to the table centre pieces, beautiful flowers, bunting and hay bales to the family farm in Karaka it was held!…this wedding was perfectly rustic. Perfect in every way! I think we might just have died and gone to photographer’s heaven for the day :-)”

My favourite things in the world are polka dots and stripes, drinking coffee, my little black dog Spencer & diving under the waves at the beach. I spend my time road tripping New Zealand and overseas, photographing beautiful people on their wedding day- Whether it be on a rugged west coast beach, at a cute vintage bach in the Coromandel, or on the perfect rustic farm, I will be there with a huge smile on my face, camera in hand. the best is yet to come MY HEART FOLLOWS Leading up to this day it had been raining all week so naturally one would feel a little worried about the scheduled engagement session. But what can I say, the sun came out for all to enjoy, especially for this week family. When I met with Seia a few weeks earlier we chatted for four hours. Listening to all of the planning that Seia had put into her day, felt like it was a match made in heaven. I am excited to capture their day in Savai’i, Samoa in July this year. Hello!! My name is Ivy! Growing up, I never considered photography as a career. Actually I didn’t enjoy art class at all. Though I did have moments where I was pretty impressed with my drawings of horses through my “Black Beauty” phase. I actually wanted to become a filmmaker. I love movies! But life took me down another path and led me from Auckland to Wellington, married with two gorgeous girls. Now equipped with a business degree, I found working in
Human Resources for 10 years prepared me for what I needed to do to kick start my own business. Thankfully with having such awesome camera gear that I love, I actually do a bit of filming when I’m working with youth. Which is also another outlet for my creative self. Check out our stuff here. I come from a very creative family and have always loved making things that are detailed and beautiful. I didn’t know what I wanted to do after school so I traveled through South East Asia and Europe with my partner.
I fell in love with all the beautiful jewelry houses in Europe like Bulgari and Van Clef and Arples and decided that I wanted to learn that skill and trade. I researched Schools in NZ and as soon as I got home I enrolled for a full time apprenticeship at Peter Minturn Gold Smith School. I Love being a Jeweller because I love to create beautiful things that make people happy. Why is bespoke Jewellery special? I love what I do and being part of someones secret romantic journey. Making an engagement ring or wedding band is what I love best. To be involved in one of the most important, exciting and special times in a couples lives is an exciting experience. of my life LA LUMIERE Lighting can make or break a wedding - three reasons why you should hire a professional. Even though every engaged couple has unique ideas on the style, theme and feel of their big day, all brides and grooms-to-be have something in common – they want their wedding to look amazing and they want their guests to have an equally wonderful time. But, to put it bluntly, bad lighting can totally ruin your dreams of a picture perfect wedding. It doesn’t matter how many painstaking hours you may have spent scrolling through Pinterest, collecting jars, hand sewing bunting and painting chalkboards, if the lighting is wrong your décor can go from looking chic to looking eek! And it won’t make a difference if you have flown in the newest, hippest DJ on the Ibiza club scene to play all the sickest beats, if your dance floor is too bright, your guests won’t be cutting shapes on the night. Quite frankly, good lighting is a necessity not a luxury, and I’ll tell you why.

the icing on the cake DIY My wedding cake was my little bit of DIY. We got married with 6 weeks notice and on Valentines Day so finding the perfect cake designer at such short notice proved impossible. Now, I am no cake maker so it was time to get creative...
1: Cover Cone in Tin Foil
I needed: 1 x Polystyrene Cone from Look Sharp Tin Foil Icing Sugar Water 16 x Packets of Ferrero Raffaello Chocolates Cup of boiling Water (to dip knife in) Knife
4: Attach the ball to the outside of the Cone
2: Make Icing from Icing Sugar & Water 3: Using a hot knife, paste a small amount of the icing onto a ball
5: Repeat around the bottom layer so all the balls are touching 6: Repeat layer by layer all the way to the top 7: Dress with flowers
