12 Intentional Actions to Choose Happiness Today Happiness is a choice but fully experiencing it still requires a conscience decision to do so each day. How then might each of us begin to experience this joy? Consider 12 starters below: Embrace one new action item… practice all of them… or simply use them as inspiration to discover your own. 1. Count your blessings. Happy people choose to focus on the positive aspects of life rather than the negative. They set their minds on specific reasons to be grateful. They express it when possible. And they quickly discover there is always, always, something to be grateful for. 2. Carry a smile. A smile is a wonderful beautifier. But more than that, studies indicate that making an emotion-filled face carries influence over the feelings processed by the brain. Our facial expression can influence our brain in just the same way our brains influence our face. In other words, you can actually program yourself to experience happiness by choosing to smile. Not to mention, all the pretty smiles you’ll receive in return for flashing yours is also guaranteed to increase your happiness level. 3. Speak daily affirmation into your life. Affirmations are positive thoughts accompanied with affirmative beliefs and personal statements of truth. They are recited in the first person, present tense (“I am…”). Affirmations used daily can release stress, build confidence, and improve outlook. For maximum effectiveness, affirmations should be chosen carefully, be based in truth, and address current needs. Here is a list of 100 daily affirmations to help you get started. 4. Wake up on your terms. Most of us have alarm clocks programmed because of the expectations of others: a workplace, a school, or a waking child. That’s probably not going to change. But that doesn’t mean we have to lose control over our mornings in the process. Wake up just a little bit early and establish an empowering, meaningful, morning routine. Start each day on your terms. The next 23 hours will thank you for it. 5. Hold back a complaint. The next time you want to lash out in verbal complaint towards a person, a situation, or yourself, don’t. Instead, humbly keep it to yourself. You’ll likely diffuse an unhealthy, unhappy environment. But more than that, you’ll experience joy by choosing peace in a difficult situation.

6. Practice one life-improving discipline. There is happiness and fulfillment to be found in personal growth. To know that you have intentionally devoted time and energy to personal improvement is one of the most satisfying feelings you’ll ever experience. Embrace and practice at least one act of self -discipline each day. This could be exercise, budgeting, or guided-learning… whatever your life needs today to continue growing. Find it. Practice it. Celebrate it.

7. Use your strengths. Each of us have natural talents, strengths, and abilities. And when we use them effectively, we feel alive and comfortable in our skin. They help us find joy in our being and happiness in our design. So embrace your strengths and choose to operate within your giftedness each day. If you need to find this outlet outside your employment, by all means, find this outlet.

8. Accomplish one important task. Because happy people choose happiness, they take control over their lives. They don’t make decisions based on a need to pursue joy. Instead, they operate out of the satisfaction they have already chosen. They realize there are demands on their time, helpful pursuits to accomplish, and important contributions to make to the world around them. Choose one important task that you can accomplish each day. And find joy in your contribution.

9. Eat a healthy meal/snack. We are spiritual, emotional, and mental beings. We are also physical bodies. Our lives cannot be wholly separated into its parts. As a result, one aspect always influences the others. For example, our physical bodies will always have impact over our spiritual and emotional well -being. Therefore, caring for our physical well-being can have significant benefit for our emotional standing. One simple action to choose happiness today is to eat healthy foods. Your physical body will thank you… and so will your emotional well-being. 10. Treat others well. Everyone wants to be treated kindly. But more than that, deep down, we also want to treat others with the same respect that we would like given to us. Treat everyone you meet with kindness, patience, and grace. The Golden Rule is a powerful standard. It benefits the receiver. But also brings growing satisfaction in yourself as you seek to treat others as you would like to be treated. 11. Meditate. Find time alone in solitude. As our world increases in speed and noise, the ability to withdraw becomes even more essential. Studies confirm the importance and life-giving benefits of meditation. So take time to make time. And use meditation to search inward, connect spiritually, and improve your happiness today. 12. Search for benefit in your pain. This life can be difficult. Nobody escapes without pain. At some point— in some way—we all encounter it. When you do, remind yourself again that the trials may be difficult, but they will pass. And search deep to find meaning in the pain. Choose to look for the benefits that can be found in your trial. At the very least, perseverance is being built. And most likely, an ability to comfort others in their pain is also being developed.

Go today. Choose joy and be happy. That will make two of us.

A young entrepreneur, an industry pioneer, a h i g h l y regarded marketing expert, and a man who has surpassed new heights of commercial and financial success are just a few ways people have described Daymond John. Over the last 20 years, Daymond has evolved from one of the most successful fashion icons of his generation to one of the most sought after branding experts, business, and motivational speakers in the country. Daymond’s creative vision and strong knowledge of the marketplace helped him create one of the most iconic fashion brands in recent years. FUBU, standing for “For Us By Us”, represented a lifestyle that was neglected by other clothing c o m p a n i e s . Realizing this need in the marketplace, Daymond created the untapped urban apparel space and laid the groundwork for other companies to compete in this newly established market. Daymond grew up in the community of Hollis, Queens, quickly becoming known as the birthplace of the new genre of music called Hip-Hop, with acts like RUN DMC and Salt-N-Peppa rapidly making names for themselves. Being surrounded in this influential neighborhood helped spur the inspiration for his clothing line that would ultimately change the fashion world. His first foray into the apparel market came when he wanted a tie-top hat he had seen in a popular music video but could not find one for a good price. With the

http://www.hiphopnational.com/?attachment_id=4769 sewing skills he had learned from his mother, Daymond started making the hats for himself and his friends. Realizing he was on to something, Daymond made a sizeable order of the tie-top hats, sold them on the streets of Queens one day, and made $800 in just a few hours. There was a buzz about Daymond’s products that simply could not be ignored. Based on that early success, Daymond recruited some of his neighborhood friends and FUBU was born. They created a distinctive logo and began sewing the FUBU logo on all sorts of apparel, including hockey jerseys, sweatshirts and t-shirts. The brand hit a tipping point when Daymond convinced Hollis native and Hip-Hop superstar, LL Cool J, to wear FUBU for a promotional campaign. This was the catalyst behind the entire Hip-Hop community supporting the new brand and instantly giving it credibility. In need of start-up capital to keep up with demand, Daymond and his mother mortgaged the home they collectively owned for $100,000. Soon, the home was turned into a makeshift factory and office space. FUBU gained even more nationwide exposure when Daymond and his partners traveled to the industry trade show Magic in Las Vegas. Despite not being able to afford a booth at the event, the FUBU team showed

buyers the distinctively cut, vibrantly colored sportswear in their hotel room. The company came back to Queens with over $300,000 worth of orders. FUBU soon had a contract with the New York City-based department store chain Macy's, and it began expanding its line to include jeans and outerwear. A distribution deal with Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung allowed their designs to be manufactured and delivered on a massive scale. With the brand transcending into the mainstream markets, FUBU recorded annual sales of $350 million, placing it in the same stratosphere as designer sportswear labels such as Donna Karan New York and Tommy Hilfiger. In 2009, John joined the cast of the ABC entrepreneurial business show, Shark Tank, produced by acclaimed TV producer Mark Burnett. As one of the “Sharks”, Daymond and four other prominent executives listen to business pitches from everyday people hoping to launch their company or product to new heights. Investing his own money in every project, Daymond becomes partners with the entrepreneurs helping turn their dreams into a reality. Millions of viewers tune into the show as Daymond demonstrates his marketing prowess and entrepreneurial insights. Due to the increasing amount of requests from major companies, Shark Branding was formed to provide companies with the marketing insights that have made Daymond’s companies successful over the years. The firm consults companies on innovative strategies to connect with their consumers more effectively by associating with the world’s most influential celebrities, musicians, and personalities. Whether it’s activating a celebrity endorsement or integrating product in a music video, companies rely on Shark Branding to utilize Daymond’s contacts and relationships to produce real results and sales. Daymond entered the literary world with his first book Display of Power: How FUBU Changed A World Of Fashion, Branding And Lifestyle which tells the story of his awe inspiring journey and provides a roadmap for those who aspire to succeed in business and in life. Daymond followed up his with his second book, The Brand Within: How We Brand Ourselves, From Birth To The Boardroom, which examines the loyal relationships companies seek to establish with the public by attaching celebrities to their brands and the instantaneous impulses consumers exhibit when purchasing a product. Drawing on his cutting edge experiences in the fashion business, as well as his hard-won insights developed as a soughtafter marketing consultant to trendsetters and tastemakers, the author argues that branding relationships have now seeped into every aspect of our lives.

Born and raised in South Florida, Ashley "Kayolana" Williams has always been a person that "shines". Her brilliant, youthful, yet brash delivery in her music embraces and captivates the streets as well as a radio friendly and targeted audience. Ashley aka BillyCEO writes about, her perspectives on fashion, life, love, laughter, friendships, and jealousy a viewpoint by which many of her, peers and fans can relate to. Since at the age of 5, BillyCEO quickly showed an interest in music. From performing in front of close friends and relatives to local school talent shows and church related performances. BillyCEO has already developed a strong fan base largely in the Gay and Lesbian community. She has harnessed a real understanding of her craft and who she is as an Artist where as this takes most artists years to develop. "I like Justin Nozuka, Drake, Chris Brown and Lauren Hill, I feel that they are just a few of the artists thatsing with the same sincerity, realness, and relativity to how I see myself as a performer." says BillyCEO. Nevertheless, her brand of music is already being acknowledged as trend setting, which is quite normal for an artist who is ahead of their time. BillyCEO believes her talent, drive, passion and unending enthusiasm is a direct gift from the Almighty God. Although her lyrics possess somewhat of an arrogant disposition, she remains grounded with the intent to deliver a top notch niche brand of music. Her clever word play and crafty metaphors appeals to ages 13 through 24. In fact one radio jock in, North Carolina, has classified her style as sort of Thugg/ Disney. "Obviously when listening to her rhymes, you can tell right away this young lady is extremely intelligent as well as a gifted artist."

says Legend, one of the many producers who witnessed the growth of her talent as it developed over time. Ironically, she has managed to find the right kind of sound that allows you to journey through her world that many would consider to be their own personal theme of music. Currently still in her early twenties, BillyCEO is already proving to many that her talent is still growing, and its incredible. With an array of multi-talented song writers, and producers, including her own material, her songs speaks the language of today's youth without dumbing down to the typical stereotypes. In recent years she has zeroed in on her niche, Hip Hop, Pop, and R & B, self titled "The Princes of The South" Nevertheless, most deserving of this title in all respect. Interestingly enough, she has already developed a new market and now capitalizing her craft. She has been able to perform in many large venues along side of some of the industries best. Trina, Plies, Fat Joe, Fabulous Lil Boosey, Yung Thug just to name a few. Unlike a lot of our current, young performers whose musical content hinders them from gaining exposure due to their sometimes explicit lyrical content, BillyCEO understand the necessity to clean it up for radio and family friendly public venues she say “After All It's Business . In summary, BillyCEO is by far on a path to success and if she continues at this pace, her future in entertainment is inevitable.

Is The Evolution Of Hip Hop Being Televised? Is The Evolution Of Hip Hop Being Televised? Is the graffiti being painted creatively incognito just before our very eyes? Is it possible we are engaging into the music presentations, with our eyes wide open shut? Are the new up and coming artist being bamboozled by the foolery of the powers that be i.e. Jay Z, Lil Wayne Eminem and etc...? It’s a transition happening in the live performances and presentation clearly being televised in the face of the general public.I always said, “Music is meant to be heard and not silenced” Unfortunately, it appears that today’s Hip Hop Artist is too stuck on yesterday’s methods of marketing themselves via their live performances and presentation. The language in my opinion is limiting your marketability and your interaction with potential corporate partners. Today it’s imperative to provide your audiences with an awesome and unforgettable show with potential sponsors in mind. I believe, Artist need to provide more than a press play Show CD showcase. They need to utilize live instrumentation and step out beyond the box they were previously placed in this will only demonstrate to the paying public that you are truly a full-fledged content provider. If you remember the 4 element of Hip Hop, Break Dancing, Graffiti, Emcees and Deejays, well unfortunately, those elements have shrunk and if we are not carefully crafty, I believe the Emceeing could eventually fade as well! http://www.hiphopnational.com/evolution-hip-hop-televised/ The Importance Of Audio and Visual Branding Today we are able to leverage our abilities to market more than ever in the past online and offline via auditory, video, digital print, etc. The key is to be seen and heard all over, everywhere. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/hiphopnationalradio/2015/04/14/the-importance-of-audio-and-visual-branding Go to: www.hiphopnational.com Real Facebook Fan Page Likes (ANY KIND OF FACEBOOK LIKE PAGE) (NO BOTS 100% REAL) (MAX 3,000 LIKES PER PAGE AT A TIME BUT YOU CAN ORDER AGAIN) (Begins within 24 hours of purchase) (Choose the amount of likes you want the page to get from the drop down menu below and copy and paste your fan page link. We stand in the rain in a long line waiting at Ford Highland Park. For work. You know what work is—if you're old enough to read this you know what work is, although you may not do it. Forget you. This is about waiting, shifting from one foot to another. Feeling the light rain falling like mist into your hair, blurring your vision until you think you see your own brother ahead of you, maybe ten places. You rub your glasses with your fingers, and of course it's someone else's brother, narrower across the shoulders than yours but with the same sad slouch, the grin that does not hide the stubbornness, the sad refusal to give in to rain, to the hours wasted waiting, to the knowledge that somewhere ahead a man is waiting who will say, 'No, we're not hiring today,' for any reason he wants. You love your brother, now suddenly you can hardly stand the love flooding you for your brother, who's not beside you or behind or ahead because he's home trying to sleep off a miserable night shift at Cadillac so he can get up before noon to study his German. Works eight hours a night so he can sing Wagner, the opera you hate most, the worst music ever invented. How long has it been since you told him you loved him, held his wide shoulders, opened your eyes wide and said those words, and maybe kissed his cheek? You've never done something so simple, so obvious, not because you're too young or too dumb, not because you're jealous or even mean or incapable of crying in the presence of another man, no, just because you don't know what work is.
