Premiering at the Cannes Film Festival, where it won the FIPRESCI Prize, BLUE RUIN follows a mysterious beach bum whose quiet life is turned upside down by dreadful news regarding a past tragedy. He sets off for his childhood home to carry out an act of vengeance but proves an amateur assassin, finding himself in a brutal fight to protect his estranged family.

Ji-gu is a 15-year-old juvenile offender under probation who lives with his ailing grandfather. When he is caught committing a crime, he is sent to the juvenile reformatory. Upon his grandfather’s passing, Ji-gu is reunited with his mother — whom he believed to be dead. Together they set out to make up for lost time. JUVENILE OFFENDER is Korea’s official entry for the Foreign Feature category for the Academy Awards.

Nao Ohmori (ICHI THE KILLER) plays Takafumi, who escapes the pressures of daily life by joining a mysterious club, where the so-called Queens visit clients in real-life settings. While at first the rough treatment he receives from leatherclad women in cafés is enjoyable, Takafumi soon realizes that he's opened a door that cannot be closed.
