The popular grocery food chain, Key Food, has finally come to Hempstead - located along the South Franklin street corridor into Rockville Centre. Key Food opened its doors on a warm winter day in February and residents were anxious to peruse the food aisles, scout for savings and a ‘brand’ new place to shop. Julio Reyes, store owner, said, “ My commitment is to hire young people from the immediate surrounding neighborhood to give them a chance of empowerment and hope which will add to the success of the supermarket.” Only the residents can benefit when there is so much to choose from. — Aaron Kearney
