GEZE Denmark’s new Country Manager, Søren Wander Jensen has been with GEZE Scandinavia for 4 years. He has previously been responsible for Business Operations and thus has a thorough knowledge of the processes in GEZE and the business, which we are operating in.
With an analyzing mindset and clear constructive communication, he has had a positive start in his new position. “As everyone already knew me, I didn’t have to introduce myself as a person. I just had to be myself.Although my colleagues were not used to me being in charge or involved in daily business decisions, they knew that they could rely on me. I believe the high willingness to cooperation within the Danish team, makes it a positive challenge to implement new ideas and optimizations,” Søren says.
A strong back ground for a new opportunity
Søren has a Master degree in Finance and International Business from Aarhus University and has previously showed his worth at LEGO among others. Born and raised in the western part of Jutland, Denmark, he immigrated to the center of Copenhagen, and jumped right into the multitude of cultures in the Scandinavian GEZE organization, when he first entered the company back in 2018.
“It was ofcourse a big change to move to Copenhagen and start in a new company at the same time”, Søren remembers. “Meanwhile, everyone throughout the organization were really welcoming. It has definitely been a great
advantage in my current position, to have a good idea of the business already, and to know the team I am now managing. I knew already from the beginning where to step in, and in which projects and market segments to increase focus.”
A great start with a promising future
Within a very short period of time, Søren and his team has seen a great increase in the business figures. “The team spirit is better than ever,” Søren says. “It is a joy to be able to work with wonderful colleagues. Their joined effort to make a daily success really carries the business. I am very excited for the challenges in the future and I am sure that GEZE Denmark has a great growth ahead,” Søren concludes.
