Kern child Abuse Prevention Council is non profit organization dedicated to the prevention of Child Abuse and neglect through advocacy and education We offer various services to the community such as self-help groups, parenting classes. Counseling and Case Management services. Other Classes that may interest you New Beginnings: A basic parenting class to upgrade your skills as a parent. Topic include setting limits, anger management and natural and Logical consequences. Anger Management: A class where parents learn to manage their anger And act safely even when they are mad.

Consider the Children Registration and Class Description Almost half of all children born yearly in the United States will experience the separation or divorce of their parents. According to research, these children are at an increased risk of developing social, emotional and school problems following the divorce. This workshop is for adults who have begun the legal separation or divorce process or have been already divorced and have children in their care. You will receive a workbook and instruction on: • The process of divorce • Methods for keeping kids out of the middle of parental conflicts • Helping your child adjust to the divorce • Post- divorce parenting tips We hope this workshop will make the divorce or separation process easier for both you and your children. If you become aware or the special needs of your children at this stressful time, you can help them with adjusting.
