Bringing the inside Kitchen Cooking outdoors is a typical British summer tradition, we love to get our BBQs out as soon as the sun appears! If you’ve got a decent sized patio, you can add an outdoor kitchen section along with your BBQ and even create a section for a sink using similar technology that’s used in camping. A pump system can be installed to enable you to have fresh running water and a drainage system so you can prepare, wash up and cook your food in the garden.

Dining room A decent six seater or party furniture set in the garden is a fantastic idea. Using Hartman’s cast aluminium dining furniture sets, you can bring the dining room outside! These sets are lightweight and very tolerant of all sorts of weather so can be left out all the year round. If I’m dining outside, I like to use hot plates to keep the food warm. You can also get an Emberglow fire pit (see page 37) that allows you to cook as you dine, but also use after food to keep diners warm as the sun goes down!
