One of the highest mountains of the earth and part of the immense Himalayas massif is the name giver for our series of the lightest and strongest MTB components. Nearly undefeatable high, steep walls on the Lhotse soar over 3,000 meters high. Only the best material is suited to meet this challenge to climb the 8,516 meter. We developed the Lhotse components by following exactly this concept: for the greatest challenges and the highest performance optimized stems, handlebars and seat posts; 3D forged from high quality 7075 T6 aluminium.

Aluminium 7075 is an aluminium alloy with zinc as the primary alloying element. 7075 is generally comparable with regard to the durability of steel and has a good fatigue resistance in about one third of the specific weight. Composition of AL 7075: About 5.6 to 6.1% zinc, 2.1 to 2.5% magnesium, 1.2 to 1.6% copper and less than half a percent silicon, iron, manganese, titanium, chromium and other metals.

This manufacturing process is used for weight reduction by handle bars. The butted aluminum tubes with the same stiffness values have tough different interior wall thicknesses. The handle bar ends are then durable and stable, where the most forces appear. This system allows less weight in the tube middle, where the lower forces occur.

Adjustable stems can be individually adjusted to the requirements of the driver. By adjusting the stem, the driver reaches different handle bar heights and seat positions which are adapted to the different driving styles (sporty or comfortable).
