AVA B E RG Ava, known to friends as Ava Hip Soul, was a local activist and poet. She was an outspoken advocate of medical marijuana and was always eager to share her knowledge of its benefits medicinally as well as economically. Ava was a human rights activist. She participated in many political events and had hopes of improving her community. She was a member of NAACP, STLC, and ACLU. Ava was a resident of Harrisburg since 1979 and she touched the lives of many as one of the liveliest personalities in the city. She could be found sharing stories of her life at many of the social gatherings that were held locally. Her spoken word style poetry can be found on YouTube at “Ava Hip Soul”. She was an inspiration to us here at "ONLY HARRISBURG" and we will continue to honor her memory and beliefs for a world of peace and love. T h e s t a ff o f R e c y c l e B i c y c l e a r e s t r i c t l y volunteers who operate with safety in mind at all times. Adults can learn how to fix any recycled bike they’d like and Recycle Bicycle will provide the parts for doing so. There is a small fee of around 5 dollars for a bike lock and serial numbers are recorded in case the bikes are ever stolen. When we arrived at the bike warehouse we were astonished by the amount of donated bikes. There were bicycles piled against
