Nika Roza Danilova has gone from being an outsider experimental teenage noise-maker to a full-fledged internationally celebrated electronic pop musician. Despite her age (young), her geography (mid-western, desolate), her accelerated scholastic requirements and her diminutive physical size (4”11, 90lbs) she has emerged as a figurehead—a self-produced, self-designed, self-taught independent woman.

Tasseomancy is a continuation of what was a bare bones neo-folk duo. Formerly known as Ghost Bees, Canadian twins Sari and Romy Lightman have found a heavier, more ambient sound, ripe with dreamy, dissonant vocals, influenced by eastern song, drone music, phonography and myth.

We’ve come a long Way and We don’t mean the flight

Since starting out on the edge of the country in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, JAC has gained international recognition for our work. We’ve flirted with the Webbys, pitched to the city of New York, and helped the province move into the future. At JAC, we don’t just find solutions for our clients, we create them. Come meet us at the Seahorse on Thursday, October 18th.
