DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION The employee will work closely with the controller and the construction manager. Principal duties include but are not limited to: 1. Preparation of monthly bookkeeping for the construction company a. Recording accounts payable and accounts receivable b. Preparing accounts receivable invoices c. Payments to suppliers 2. With the assistance of the construction manager monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner and that accounts receivable are received in a timely manner 3. Responsible for project accounting including: a. Maintenance of a monthly spreadsheet that tracks projects and provides month end information to the construction manager b. Preparation of the work-in-progress journal entries each month end for review by the Controller and Construction Manager c. Keep accurate files for each project for review by construction manager. d. Review project costing ensuring that all costs are correctly coded, and prepare any adjusting entries required 4. Other accounting duties as required

KEDC is looking for someone with an attention to detail that is willing to take the CPA Payroll Courses. At the end of this training the Payroll Trainee will be responsible for the payroll function of the company as follows:

Preparation of monthly full-cycle bookkeeping for the construction company o Recording accounts payable and accounts receivable o Preparing accounts receivable invoices o Payments to suppliers o Prepare bank reconciliations Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner and that accounts receivable are received in a timely manner Monitor cash flow with the assistance of the controller Responsible for project accounting including: o Maintenance of a monthly spreadsheet that tracks projects and provides month end information to the construction manager o Preparation of the work-in-progress journal entries each month end that records revenue for the month based on the percentage of completion method for review with the controller and the construction manager o Keep accurate files for each project for review by the construction manager. o Review project costing ensuring that all costs are correctly coded, and prepare any adjusting entries required Records monthly accruals within 2 weeks subsequent to month end Other accounting duties as required
