Yo wiksas. The GNN elders would like to send the family & friends their condolences to Christine's family. Our love and prayers to you during this difficult time. The elders program has been very busy over the last few weeks. On Valentine's Day they had some crab in celebration of this day. The following day they also had more crab for Elder's luncheon. Thank you to Albert Charlie & Bill Benton for the crab. Catering has been a hit this month. We have had VIHA, Trust, Chief & Council all in for meetings this month, along with catering. Trust Reports are due. I am happy to report that the Elder's Program was done well ahead of scheduled deadline. I attended a family advocacy conference in Vancouver last week. I was able to update the elders last Wednesday on what it was all about and what I've learned. Thank you Gwa'sala-'Nakwaxda'xw School for the opportunity. I hope to make it to more training workshops in the near future. We would like to thank Conrad Anderson for helping with the Valentine's luncheon. This Friday March 3rd, the elders had a hot lunch fundraiser planned starting at 12pm. Pending funeral will determine if we proceed. Gilakasla Silena George Elder's Program Administrator (250) 949-7406 Silena1314@gmail.com
